Subject: Song of the Sea... or Pine Cove condo?

It's time to plan the Sanibel trip. Boy, am I lucky my S.O. was too lazy to plan this year's vacation to Costa Rica! We are going to Sanibel instead. Yeeehaaa!

I'm trying to decide between the gulf front suite at Song of the Sea, and a condo at the Pine Cove Complex. Having to follow my S.O.'s "hot tub mandatory" rule has not been easy, but both places have a hot tub.

If anyone can comment on either place, I would love to hear it. Cast your vote!

Song of the Sea will be more expensive than a condo. And I have heard that the bedroom in the gulf front suite is very small. Also, no washer/dryer (and we loved having that convenience last year). Is it really "gulf front"? Can you easily see the beach/ocean?

The Pine Cove condo is a real wild card... hard to tell about these condos. The decor looks a little dated, but should I really care about that?

We want a quiet adult-oriented place, and I am hoping that one of these will fit the bill.
