For a different area you might look into East Gulf, there is a complex there called Sandalfoot - pets are not allowed but the units are very nice and the pool is well kept and the whole complex is clean. We stayed there a few yrs ago and I thought for an association place versus by owner that their rates were good. The units are not real large but they all have screened in porches overlooking either the pool or gulf. I dont know how you feel, but we do not spend a lot of time indoors.
