- A Big Thank You!!! -- Randy Hipp, "11:30:07 04/28/08 Mon" [1]
I just want say a big Thank You to all of you for coming to the race, racers and race fans alike, you are what this is all about. To all of our racers who make Prescott your home thanks for supporting your home track and thank you to all of you guys who came in for this race, I know with fuel being prices being what they are it is very costly to travel so again thank you to all, we were glad to have you all and certainly hope you will come back and race with us again. Thank you to all of you who sponsor Arkansas Outlaw Racing LLC, without your support we could not possibly have grown as quickly as we have nor been able to do nearly as much as we have done, again Thank You! Thank you to all of our members, again we could not have done any of this without your support, Thank You. Thanks to Bonnie, Lori and those who helped them with the great job they did on selling the goodies (which were really good!) and managing all of the membership signups.
I hope everyone enjoyed the race, I thought it was great. I think the program ran well the facility was great and the track was great, thank you to Larry and Kathy Boardman for all the hard work and money invested to make it what it has become. Thanks to Kevin, Brad and Larry for all the hard work and expense in prepping the track for this race, it really paid off. I mean what can you say when you have track records fall like we did. Also thanks to Justin Pennington for helping to get the word out about this race, only about half as many cars showed as we were expecting in SS 10.5 but it was still a great race.

- Spring Shootout -- Ray Nosler, "18:13:18 01/26/08 Sat" [1]
I posted a plea on the Prescott Outlaw Site to have a Spring Shootout with some money I have been able to raise. It would be for Super Street, Outlaws and any other classes the track will have when we get rules. I also have raised some additional funds for that race that will put a bounty on class records that fall at the end of the day up to 3 classes at $1,000 each. Is anyone at Prescott interested in this type of event? I cannot plan it, but it would be a shame to let the funds raised be taken back because there is no race.

- New Track: Check Modays Newspaper B Section! -- Adriel, "01:04:52 01/22/08 Tue" [1]
Nathan Mann, owner of performance engine shop in Little Rock, has brought a proposal to the city of Benton to allow him to turn Watts Field airport into a Drag Racing Facility. He also currently has support from the mayor of Benton in this proposal so thats a plus. The strip is currently 3980ft long so there is plenty of room for shutdown. Right now it seems as though this track will be a track for play because he is planning on enforcing a muffler rule on all competitors so it doesn't look like it will be a track for all of us Bracket and Outlaw racers. Its unfortunate but I think its a step in the right direction. He is planning on hosting a signature support deal this Saturday at Watts Field Airport. Don't know about a time or anything though. Anyway, just thought that I would spread the news.

I just want to know what things we should being looking forward to seeing for the new season. We all have are wishlist but I know that I would like to see things happen at both tracks.
Could we potentially see:
Paved pits at Prescott(no more dust!)
Wider groove at Centerville
Removal of excess rubber at both tracks
Smoothing of the asphalt to concrete transition
Better track prepping equipment
Better track clean up equipment
Better grandstands
Concrete Barriers
Lets get some discussion on this. What improvements should we see next year?

- Centerville October 20th, Its going to be Big! -- Randy Hipp, "13:28:55 10/16/07 Tue" [1]
The word from Centerville Dragway is they are expecting a record turnout of Racers and Spectators. They have additional staffing coming in to help and they have additional facilities being brought in to help as well. It sounds like Records will be set not only off the track but on the track as well, as there are several Out of State guys coming in and I know some of the Arkansas racers are coming Loaded for Bear! It should be very exciting to say the least. Gates are set to open at 10:00 am Saturday.

Hey Randy!!!! First of all I wanted to say congats on putting together a very nice and successfull program such as the Arkansas Outlaw Racing deal goes. You along with other including Mrs. Bonnie have put alot of work into this.
It turned out great and it will only continue to grow bigger and better. I am glad it has worked out so well. Without this there might not be near as much excitement in the Prescott Outlaws program. It gives people a reason to get into racing for more than just the money. Its alot of reasons. I have to say Randy, as much as me and you talk(which is alot lol)you are the nicest person ever to meet at that racetrack or anywhere. It is a real honor to be to be a friend of yours and talk about the things we have. I am pretty sure everyone that knows you will agree with what I said about you being the nicest person to meet and one of the bestfriends to have. Not only you...Mrs. Bonnie and your mom and dad. All of yall are just great and amazing people. Its really nice to see a family as nice as yours and nice to see yall racing as one big family with you and your wife and parents. You dont really see that much anymore. I believe everything is going to work out great for you and what you have created Im just lucky to even be a memeber. I really hope something will be done with the track as well. Cause prescott is a nice place to go and race and be around people like you. All Larry's plans he has told me I really hope works out for him. Only time will tell. There will be plenty of racing next year. But you still have one more race to attend...good luck when you go to texas. Its because of people like you that drag racing is the way it is and like a big family. I know you would do anything to make something work for a race. Well I could go on and on talking but Im not. Hope everything makes a huge turnaround for the better start of next year. Be safe and keep up the good work Randy. I really enjoy talking to you. Have a nice day and like I said...keep up the good work cause its making a big difference. Talk to you later!!!!

- A Big Thank You To Some Great People for Lots of Help -- Randy Hipp, "14:22:35 09/28/07 Fri" [1]
As many of you know it has almost been a constant thrash to get my car back together and have it at the September 22nd Race at Prescott after wrecking it there on June 23rd. We made it but I was still assembling and tightening Saturday Morning even after arriving at the track. Anyway I need to acknowledge some people who missed out on a lot of sleep to be able to make it happen. First, thanks to my Dad, Mom and My Wife for everything, I definitely have a great family. Thank you to Harry Crane and Bob Worlow for spending some late nights in the shop and a couple nights getting to watch the sun come up the next morning. Thank you to Darrel and Amy Kelly and Marty Dockery, Darrel what can I say about the paint job, Incredible! I know Amy and Marty were there with you putting in some long hours to get it ready last week and thanks to you all for bringing it to the shop. A final thanks to all of you who offered help and were there for moral support, Thank you all!

The shootout we were trying to put together for October 6th is officially not going to happen. I talked with Larry and he has some great plans to improve the facility this winter. He asked me to wait until Spring 08 to have the shootout so he could 'kick off the racing season and the renovations he does this winter with a bang. So that is what we will shoot for.

Hey, how you doing Randy? I hope everythings been going well for you! I have a question. Do you know of any good chassis builders around Little Rock. I know about Shahan but I was just wondering if there were any others around here. I need to get a price quote on getting some housing ends and Ladder Bar mounts welded on to our Rear End Housing. I would really appreciate the help!

- 1st Annual Arkansas Outlaw True 10.5 Shhotout -- Ray Nosler, "20:45:49 07/09/07 Mon" [18]
Randy:
Looked at all the tracks around I could find a schedule for. The 6th of October seems open to try and schedule this race. I talked to a couple of folks to help sponsor the gauranteed purse for 10.5 at $5,000 and they agreed to it (we will need a couple more). It would seem the new rules at Prescott would work with 4 links and shhet metal additions for the interior. Weight, tire and the track/weather conditions will be the equalizer. The Drag radial class rules should also be the same as Prescott's except the small block weights need to be 2800. The purse we are shooting for is $2,500 to the winner gauranteed. The entree fee and spectator fee should be lowered as well so we can attrack more cars and spectators. The second and third place money will depend on car counts in the class. I have looked in to Radio and newspaper advertising for 2 weeks prior and it looks like we can do that as well.
The next hurdle (Of Many) is talking with Larry and getting some folks together to assist at the track on Race Day. Also, how do get other classes there and do we need them to have a minimum car count? The last race like this was in Shreveport and they had 26 cars just in the 10.5 class (Super Street Type) If we get other race drivers with additional classes, they can spli 100% of the entree fee?
Tell me what you think. And glad to here you and the car will be back soon
Thanks,
Ray
