I sent this e-mail to The Cinema and Televison Benevolent Fund:
Dear CTBF!
I am a libriarian and a movie buff from the north of Sweden. I recently came across an obituary regarding a certain Nancy Nevinson, who had passed away 93 years old at Glebelands on January 25 this year. Since Glebelands is a retirement home for movie and televison personalities, I now wonder if the recently deceased Nevinson is the famous actress. I have long admired her work and have enjoyed watching her in movies like S.O.S Titanic , Raise the Titanic (she and Sir Alec Guinness!!!) and Jesus of Nazareth. Not to mention all her TV appearances. If it indeed is she who has passed then it is great shame that her passing has'nt been mentioned more in the media. Her legacy deserves much more.
I have know received a reply which confirms the actress passing:
Dear Mr Andersson
My apologies for not replying sooner to your e-mail.
It was indeed the Nancy Nevinson who sadly passed away at Glebelands on the 25 January. She was a great character and is sadly missed by all who knew during her time at Glebelands.
