Subject: Norman Wisdom Author: Wearysloth [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 15:51:19 10/05/10 Tue Norman Wisdom passed at the age of 95 on Oct 4th, 2010 I believe we will be adding and improving his filmography over the next few days courtesy of Hughjampton. I'd have to say my favourite film would be Trouble in Store mainly courtesy of Margaret Rutherford's delirious turn as a shoplifter, we have to give Norman points for being a thoroughly unselfish performer to allow such a piece of upstaging. Bulldog Breed has a boatload of familiar faces in bit part roles; Michael Caine and Olly Reed for two...and is that Imogen Hassall lurking in the background too? My other main memory is of Norman and Bruce Forsyth having to carry an entire episode of Sunday Night at the London Palladium courtesy of a union strike which meant no other performers could appear.
