 Amy and Keisha: You are right about spankings coming in groups. Our teen daughter went all last fall and early winter with no spankings, but in Jan. and Feb. It was about once a week. I was ready to quit, and find a new punishment (our family tried groundings before and they don't work without punishing everybody at the same time). In early March I told her that "this" spanking will be the worse ever. She had done the same crime in back to back weeks,and I had no choice than to spank like never before. I told her I will not spank "to hard" as to be abuse, but will spank her to red and sore several times this evening,back to back just like the reason for being spanked. I spanked her sit spot to red and cring 3 times in a 2 hour time frame, all three times were bare and with my hairbrush. It worked NO spankings needed till late June. She is well behaved up to this point in mid July my hairbrush has been parked,and bottoms cool.
