If you have close relationship I would trying talking to you dad and trying to come to some kind of compromise. I personally feel 18 is much too old for this, and my "assault" comment came from my own experiences, I left home 3 weeks after graduating from high school, on a greyhound bus with $500 to my name. That's just my point of reference. I didn't mean to offend you.
