But don't simply say "I'm too old", instead show them you are mature enough. Remember your self-control and self-discipline. Of course once you're 18 you are on your own, you would even have the right to break all connection to your parents, but they could also choose to stop supporting you. You certainly don't want it to come to that. So show your cooperation, make an offer. In the end it will be your own job to find out when your behaviour gets worse, because one day in future you will not have parents to correct it. You admit that your parents were right in predicting that your behavior worsened, so it's just a small step to finding out what causes you to misbehave and stop yourself beforehand rather than getting yourself into trouble.
