Keisha posted about her daughter texting on the cell phone. The link below lists 50 sexting codes commonly used by kids and has a link for 50 more. (100 total.) Because some of the codes are quite explicit, you may not want to approve this post. At the same time, parents of daughters with access to cell phones might benefit from knowing that some apparently harmless codes used by their daughters may have a darker meaning.

The basic netlingo.com website also has listings of numerous acronyms used in everyday discussions on and about the Internet.

My advice to parents would be to tell their daughters that if Mom and Dad can't read the text and plainly understand its meaning, their daughters don't have any business using it! In other words I see nothing wrong with moms telling their daughters: "You code; I spank!"

Hi I'm a single mother of a 9yo girl (Krissy) and I have a young man who is going to college as a babysitter for Krissy. He is a young man in good standing in our church and a very good babysitter.

Last Saturday he asked me for permission to spank Krissy if need be. Krissy isn't spanked but I think she could use them. I didn't give him permission because I wanted to think about it. I'm sure he would be careful with Krissy but I don't know about a young who is single and has never spanked a little girl before. I know he has talked to fathers about spanking girls so maybe he has enough knowledge to know how to do it.

I could use some opinions. Thanks

So 30 years ago...as I entered my teens....

We had a dress code - skirts and dresses for girls - no pants at all. Skirts below the knee. Very modest tops. No jewellery at all except for a cross.

No boys - not until I left home. No dates, no flirting, If my mother could have stopped me thinking about boys she would have done! No masturbating.

No pop/rock music. Church music only.

The Bible - we read it, we learned passages, we were expected to relate our behaviour to the bible. The whole family sat down to bible and prayers every night.

School - church school. Very early follower of Accelerated Christian Education. Same values as we had at home. Lots of Bible study. Boys and Girls in separate rooms, Supervisor in each used the Paddle whenever needed.

Church - every Sunday, followed by more bible study. Don't even think about the consequences of misbehaving in church!

Discipline. My mother discisplined all of us up to early teens, then my father took over for my brothers and my mother continued with me and my sister. We didn't get warnings, we were expected to know the rules.

If I misbehaved I was taken upstairs, I had to explain what I had done wrong, if I couldn't relate it to the bible my mother would. I'd then have to bare my bottom and bend over - my mothers knee at first, later a chair. I'd then be paddled. After the paddling we would say prayers, and I would have to thank my mother.

For dishonesty there was another twist. There would be a punishment for what ever I had done wrong, then when that was finished we would start over with another for the dishonesty.

Whilst I am more moderate, more modern, and I didn't enjoy it at the time, I am thankful for my upbringing now. The bible is clear on the need to use corporal correction.

It seems that a few of the girls that post here are being spanked at home by dad. My parents were of the mindset that girls, especially older girls, should be spanked by mom and that boys should be spanked by dad. This seems advisable to me considering the possible sexual nature of men spanking older girls. A spanking between mother and daughter eliminates any chance of that. Opinions?

I've just discovered this forum, and on reading the archives I came across your posting in which you say,
"There are times when a christian girl will want and need a more intense spanking and will need to encourage the spiritual man to make it more intense . . ."

Do you know of instances in which a Christian girl asked that her spanking be more intense?

Hi group! I'm Juli and my husband and I have one daughter Marie, age 13.

Marie hasn't been spanked in at leat 2 years but we have an understanding with her that she's not yet too old for it.

About 2 weeks ago, Marie went with some friends to a mall in our town and she didn't call us to tell us where she was going. We got worried when she wasn't home for supper and so I called her friends house because that is where she told us she would be. Well, she wasn't there so I panicked. I prayed for her safety and prayed that I could find her quickly. I called several of her friends and finally one of them knew where she was. I sped up to the mall and spent a good 30 minutes looking until I found her. I took her home and all the while I really scolded her up to the point where I was shaking. I got a grip on myself finally and turned her over to her father when we got home.

Marie and her father disappeared into her room and were there for nealry 30 minutes. All was quiet. Finally, my husband came out and sat down and told me that he had talked with Marie and explained to her the importance of checking in with us. The lecture went well beyond any lecture he had given her before and when it came time for consequences, he told her that he was going to spank her. She protested and told him that she felt she was too old for a spanking. My husband compromised and instead of a spanking, he gounded her for two weeks.

Well, the two weeks were over yesterday and Marie told me last night that she wished she had chosen the spanking. She said being grounded for two weeks was excrutiating for her!!! I couldn't help but feel that the grounding, however terribly unpleasant for her that it was, was the best punishment considering her age and what she had done.

This is an interesting forum and certainly not mainstream when it comes to idea's & opinions on spanking. Some of the posts are over the top and probably made up but some people seem genuinely interested in this subject.

As a father and a christian, I'm interested in knowing how common father / daughter spanking is in christian families and are girls spanked more than boys. I think most girls are spanked by their fathers and that girls are spanked more often than boys in christian families.

What do you think?

Hi everyone. I'm Melanie and I'm a Baptist. I'll be 15 in July and I'm finishing 8th grade next week.

I'm posting because I feel bad about some stuff that has been happening the last 2 months. I have been arguing with one of my teachers and she hasn't reported me to the principal or to my parents but yesterday I really got into it with her and she told me that she may write me up. If she writes me up I could get in trouble with the principal or with my parents. Probably both!

My question is, should I wait and hope she doesn't write me up or should I tell my parents what has been going on? I think cause school is out next friday she may let it slide. I already said I was sorry to her. Thanks for any advice.

My question is should Parents use an impliment to spank such as a belt or paddle?
In my opinion that is going beyond resonable chastisement.
I believe a Parent should only use the hand on the bottom. I find it effective and I think using an impliment as going too far. But I would welcome views on this
