Subject: I am still alive & sober!

Hi everyone. This seems to be an easier message forum. Those other messages of mine were posted ages ago. I went to my recap last month & the atmosphere seemed different. Maybe it was the group of people who were in the program at that time or simply me! Anyway, the smell of booze was not pleasant and I recovered quickly from the duffy. I didn't want to stay in my room for three hours and attempted escapes. Here, at work, sometimes I can smell booze at our front reception desk (even though it's a policy for no alcohol while on the job) and my smell is keener than before. My cravings are 0 now, although I had a melt down that lasted from last Sat. to Mon. & that could have been an excuse to go on a bender for at least a week. I prayed alot and told myself this will pass & it did. The events (it was one of those multitudes of one on top of another) are still present, although I found it was not life & death, I got thru it & passed on to a higher understanding of dealing with distastefull events. Those 3 days were a great test of my new found way of dealing with painfull happenings. I hope everyone is doing as well as myself.
