I am sorry to hear you are having cravings after your treatment. My first thought would be for you to call 1-800-CRAVING if you are in the throes of a craving.
It would help to know what you treated for and if you had Faradics or Duffy's, or both. But, please don't pick up that first drink or use a drug that first time until we can figure out what we need to do to help you.
So, please take a deep breath and we'll try to figure this out.
Another thought is that, often times, we go home following treatment and have trouble changing some of the behaviors or circumstances which revolved around use. Sometimes that can feel like a craving when actually it is just nostalgia, or behaviors we're having trouble changing, and we need a little more help with that too. Remember that giving up using a drug that has been such a big part of our lives is a loss, even if it's a healthy, life saving one. It could be that you are in mourning for that part of life lost.
I would suggest going to see a counselor who has some background with addiction therapy. Do you have some way to go to some kind of support group meeting? Anything that you can do to stay connected with a group of people or a person who knows what you are experiencing can help.
If need be, drive, or have someone drive you, back over to Schick and talk to one of the counselors or anyone who can help you to figure out what's going on.
Maybe, it's possible that you need to go back in for a 6 pack treatment. Maybe this way you can address what didn't work for you.
Thank you for posting on the board. Never be ashamed to ask for more help if you need it.
Please email me if you need more support and we can make a time to go into the live chat room and meet there if you would like.
