Subject: I think it depends on the pageant and if the judges are told what type of dresses are acceptable. I have seen bigger names win lately in flower girl dresses against glitz dresses

[> Depends entirely on the system. If the judges in a natural pageant are instructed "no glitz", that's what will prevail...ask the director beforehand. Also, that age is the transition age...if your dd looks better in a longer dress(she is older looking), go longer.
