Many thanks for taking the picture, can you please tell me from what building it was taken from ? when I lived there I don't remember much being in front of the Church at that height. Another quick question if you don't mind, what was the bus number that used to go to Valetta, I remember it only cost a few cents to get there and occassionally we used to just hang on the side.

Today in front of the church there are buildings two story high. One of them is the Band Club. So it is most likely the photo was taken from the roof top.
Today the Bbuga bus number is 11 and been like that for a good while. Back in 1992 the bus fare to Valletta was 11p, then in 1999 it was 16p.
Today 2009 it is much higher.

From things I can remember there used to be some shops to the side of St Peter's Church, a newsagent and a couple more stores. I remember going down the road to the sea just after the elections and seeing writing on the road concerning the Maltese Labour Club / Association, I'd never seen anything like that before. Hopefully within the next 12 months I'll be bringing my Texan Wife there to celebrate our wedding anniversary and re-live some of the happiest days of my life.
