Milet and Junil.
What a delight it was to listen to your beautiful voices. Don't listen to the talentless detractors. Your going to soar higher than the great eagles. May all your dreams come true. We will await in anticipation for your comeback in the choir. Both of you were truly amazing..Thank you for sharing your golden voices to us..
Milet is so confident, has a relax and cool voice even on high notes. while Junil has a power voice ala Josh Groban.
I remember them sung in duet "THE PRAYER". Twas absolutely brilliant - brought me to tears also and that does not happen often. I just bored, i barely see them now in the choir. Nobody can take their place at present time.

Let me share with you a SECRET. Time is non-existent. What is most important is your state of mind. If you are happy now. It is because you have chosen to be (NO MATTER WHAT?) If you are happy NOW, it is BECAUSE you decide to be NO MATTER WHat.
Think of despair, and despair you will reap in the now and in the next NOW and the coming NOWS... as long as you dwell on it.
THINK of happy things, events, of people who bring JOY to your LIFE, and you will be HAPPY as you are NOW HAPPY....
CHANGING for the BETTER starts in the NOW.... starts with your MIND and you must have a picture of it in your mind to make it concrete as if you are already tasting it, holding it, enjoying it. Only when you are doing that will you be ABLE TO FULLY ACHIEVE the GOAL of BETTERING THINGS....[/color]

He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Hello everyone,
Blessed are we have been called by God to serve Him and His people by the gift of music. It is very nice to know that such ministry helps us to find God our way to God and eventually lead others to the very same experience of joy.
Here in Masinloc Zambales, music has taken a different meaning, it has been an instrument for many young people to find God amidst their poverty, broken homes and personal woundedness.
Last 2002, along with the host of young people, we have established a choral group aiming not just on musical excellence. We have viewed music ministry as a portal where our young people engage in many anti-social activities, poverty will be helped.
We believe that as we serve God, we are also bounded by our obligation to our fellowmen. Little-by-little, all the choir members apart from their musical training are encourage to take a yearly retreat, psychological counseling(may mga kaso po kami ng mga nag-attempt mag-suicide) and other formations. On 2003, we are able to have a tied up with the nearest university for their college scholarship.
The Lord God has been very good to us, so far despite many odds and stakes, we continue with our ministry and music had been an instrumental for many young people to find their way back to God and the same time, able to have a good chance of fighting for their future despite the fact that they came from an unlikely background.
We are looking forward to be of help to many more young people, presently we are rebuilding the choir with its new members since many of them are already working out of town since they graduated from college(marami na po kaming napagraduate sa awa ng Diyos despite many financial constrain)At basta kaya pa namin eh ipagpapatuloy namin ang aming nasimulan
For all of us in this same ministry, let me share my warm gratitude for knowing you all. The ministry is hard but the joy of having a companions on the journey lightens it a little.

There are times in our life that we need to go back to an event where we gain happiness. Sometimes, we provoke that it happen because for a reason;that reason still a misery since after the experience, a sad oblivion comes. It's not easy to be disappointed by living the present out of reality. We still overshadowed by the past and the memory keeps on haunting our unstable emotion. In besides, its our nature to be emotional but because of despondent things, we overlook our condition.
Have you experience the parallelism of dilema and dispair? If so, how does it affect your present condition? Would you care to change things for the better and start for a new one? Think and be blessed.

"It would be a great battle and we’re gonna take the World Cup to the Philippines," ani Roach sa ginanap na press conference kahapon.
"People would love to see Pacquiao and Barrera at the opposite side of the corner cheering for their compatriot," wika pa ni Roach.

DUBLIN, Texas - Another day, another bizarre world record for Jackie Bibby, the "Texas Snake Man." Bibby spent about 45 minutes in a see-through bathtub with 87 rattlesnakes Monday, fully clothed, shattering his own record by 12 snakes just in time for Guinness World Records Day, which is Thursday. A Guinness official certified the record.
The snakes crawled under his arms, between his legs and anywhere else they could slither, Bibby said. None bit him.
"They can go wherever they want as long as they don't start biting," Bibby said. "The key to not biting is for me to stay still. Rapid movement scares a rattlesnake. If you move real slow and gentle, that doesn't seem to bother them."
Bibby sat in the dry tub with a pillow behind him, wearing regular clothing. The snakes were not defanged and still contained their venom, he said.
The clear bathtub was specially made several years ago for Bibby by the Guinness folks for a televised segment. He has used it for subsequent attempts at the record for sitting in a tub with snakes.
"I have set several world records in that bathtub," Bibby said.
The record was Bibby's latest grab at glory. Last year he set a Guinness-certified record by holding 10 rattlesnakes by their tails in his mouth at once. He said he hopes to break that record Tuesday by squeezing in an 11th.
The Texas Snake Man also claims to hold non-sanctioned records for climbing into a sleeping bag head first with 20 rattlesnakes and going in feet first with 112.

Anti-FPJ lawyer's prints found on knife, cutter
Police on Tuesday said that probers now have more concrete evidence that a lawyer-critic of the late actor and presidential candidate Fernando Poe Jr. who reportedly committed suicide in Pasig City recently, ABS-CBN News reported.
Authorities based their statement on the autopsy report released Tuesday that indicated fingerprints found on the knife and box cutter used in Jeanette Tecson's death belonged to the victim.
The lawyer was found dead inside one of the rooms of a hotel on San Miguel Avenue in Ortigas Center on Saturday.
Before her body was discovered over the weekend, the hotel's security camera caught Tecson entering her room after checking in at the lobby on Wednesday last week.
She was seen leaving the room a few hours later with a plastic bag.
Hotel staff said she stayed inside the room for two days before her body was found.
The lawyer had three slashes on the wrist, three on the neck and a superficial stomach wound.
Police Scene of Crime Operations office said that such instances happen when victims were brave enough to kill themselves. The SOCO also cited another case it handled wherein the victim stabbed his neck with the use of a bolo.
In Tecson’s case, police said the victim probably wanted an instant death when she slashed her wrist but decided to inflict more wounds to speed up the process.
All the evidence, including the lipstick mark on the duct tape and the fingerprint exam result, supported the police’s theory of suicide. Police added that Tecson also sent suicide messages through her cell phone.
Probers, however, have yet to close the investigation and are not discounting the possibility of homicide.
Tecson was known for being one of the lawyers who blocked Poe's candidacy during the 2004 presidential election.
She was also the legal counsel and spokeswoman of the pre-need firm Pacific Plans in 2005 when the company was sued for failing to fulfill its obligation to plan holders. With a report from Zyann Ambrosio

Unsolved Pinoy Mysteries
At a tender age of 17, Marcial was a war correspondent for The Manila Times. Marcial’s war experience provided him with a treasure chest of stories which inspired him to write a movie screenplay. His screenplay was made into a movie, starring Jaime de la Rosa and a 16–year old actress named Dorothy. Helmed by renowned director Lamberto Avellana, the movie was a huge success. During the first FAMAS award ceremony in 1952, Dorothy received the first FAMAS trophy for best supporting actress for her role in the movie.
The only child of a US soldier and a Filipina, Dorothy was also a semi-finalist in the 1952 Miss Philippines beauty contest. It was therefore not surprising that Marcial got so enamored with Dorothy that he did everything to court her. Marcial even carried Dorothy’s make-up kit during movie shootings. Marcial became Dorothy’s dakilang alalay.
Dorothy studied pre-Law at the University of Santo Tomas but her booming movie career made it impossible for her to continue. Likewise, Marcial took up Law at the University of the Philippines but the lure of journalism ended his dream of becoming a lawyer.
Marcial became known for his gift of gab and political skill. This led to his victory as a town mayor at a young age of 22. Meanwhile, Dorothy became popular for her acting prowess and dancing skill. This led to her victory in several acting derbies. Marcial’s younger sister was the director of the movie which won for Dorothy her last FAMAS best supporting actress award.
But while Philippine politics and show business naturally intertwine, political kingpin Marcial and movie queen Dorothy were not destined to be together.
Dorothy married a man named Victorino who fathered her only daughter. But their union did not last. After a series of unsuccessful relationships, Dorothy finally tied the knot again with an American B-movie actor-singer. In contrast, Marcial remained faithfully married all his life to an American-educated woman who bore his only son and four daughters.
But while Marcial survived the Korean War which he covered, he did not survive the war on the home front. Likewise, Dorothy did not survive her own war at home.
Both Marcial and Dorothy suffered violent deaths. Marcial was shot. Dorothy was stabbed several times.
Committed 18 years apart, the separate murders of Marcial and Dorothy made headlines several years ago. However, both murders remained unsolved to this day. Some say that identifying their killers is not the issue because everyone, except the authorities, seems to know the identity of their respective killers. Rumors even abound that the masterminds in the murders of Marcial and Dorothy were related to them by affinity. But the real mystery lies in the fact that the perpetrators of these high-profile crimes remain scot-free to this day, despite the enormous clout which the victims’ respective family wields.
Some say that Marcial’s death was a result of his being branded a communist by the government. This is ironic because the screenplay which Marcial wrote and which won for Dorothy her first FAMAS trophy was the second in a trilogy of anti-communist movies which were produced by LVN Pictures in support of the government’s efforts to fight communism.
Dorothy’s shocking death led to embarrassing revelations about her painful personal battle. Marcial’s equally shocking death led to well-deserved recognition of his heroic political battle.
Dorothy was killed amid rows of cars in the covered and dark parking lot of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) building. Despite his escorts, Marcial was killed amid rows of airplanes in a wide open space in broad daylight while descending down the tarmac of what was then known as the Manila International Airport (MIA).
Of course, we all know Dorothy as Dolphy’s TV wife, Marsha.
And we all know Marcial as Cory’s real-life husband, Ninoy.
Yes, Dorothy Jones was the real name of Nida Blanca.
And yes, Marcial Bonifacio was the fictitious name on the passport of Benigno Aquino, Jr. on the day that he was murdered.

Guilty of Apocalypse: The Case Against 2012
The thesis of this book is that the year 2012 will be pivotal, perhaps catastrophic, possibly revelatory, to a degree unmatched in human history.
1. Ancient Mayan prophecies based on two millennia of meticulous astronomical observations indicate that 12/21/12 will mark the birth of a new age, accompanied, as all births are, by blood and agony as well as hope and promise.
2. Since the 1940’s, and particularly, since 2003, the Sun has behaved more tumultuously than any time since the rapid global warming that accompanied the melting of the last Ice Age. Solar physicists concur that solar activity will next peak, at record-setting levels, in 2012.
3. Storms on the Sun are related to storms on the Earth. The great wave of 2005 hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma coincided with one of the stormiest weeks in the recorded history of the Sun.
4. The Earth’s magnetic field, our primary defense against harmful solar radiation, has begun to dwindle, with cracks comparable in scale to the ozone hole opening up randomly. A pole shift, in which such protection falls nearly to zero as the North and South magnetic poles reverse position, may well be under way.
5. Russian geophysicists believe that the Solar System has entered an interstellar energy cloud. This cloud is energizing and destabilizing the Sun and all the planets’ atmospheres. Their predictions for catastrophe resulting from the Earth’s encounter with this energy cloud range from 2010 to 2020.
6. Berkeley physicists, who discovered that the dinosaurs and 70% of all other species on Earth were extinguished by an impact 65 million years ago, maintain, with 99% certainty, that we are now overdue for another such mega-catastrophe.
7. The Yellowstone supervolcano, which erupts catastrophically every 600,000 to 700,000 years, is preparing to blow. The most recent eruption of comparable magnitude, at Lake Toba, Indonesia, 74,000 years ago, led to the death of more than 90% of the world’s population at the time.
8. Eastern philosophies such the I Ching, Chinese book of changes, and also Hindu theology, have been plausibly interpreted as supporting the 2012 end date, as have a range of indigenous belief systems.
9. At least one scholarly interpretation of the Bible predicts that the Earth will be annihilated in 2012. The burgeoning Armageddonist movement of Muslims, Christians and Jews actively seeks to precipitate the final End-Times battle.
10. Have a nice day.
MAG BAGO NA TAYO MGA KAPATID HABANG MAY PANAHON PANG NATITIRA. GOD FORGIVE ALL OUR SINS.

I was browsing the internet and I came across this website. This is about a Filipino American named David. I got moved by his story and I thought of sharing it with you. Read this:
Is it “Nothing ventured, nothing gained?” or “Nothing ventured, nothing lost?” Most people run away from turmoil. I, in this particular situation, am running into it on purpose and willingly. Most people go through some kind of scenario in life where they are peer-pressured into, analogically, “jumping off a bridge.” Well, in this case, everyone's telling me not to “jump” (and logic and reason is on their side), but somehow I feel like I was meant to dive into the pit anyways.
Almost every Filipino wants to get out of the Philippines. It is a small and densely populated nation where more than 85 million drowning people are clawing at each other for a gasp of air. They want to run away from their diseased third-world country, plagued by starvation, crime, low wages, political corruption, poor economic growth, and terrorist attacks, just to mention a few. They all yearn to go abroad, usually because of the desire to live in a more civilized nation where life is relatively safer, is more comfortable, is more financially secure, has modern medicine and technology, has a higher quality of education, etc. Well, I had this and more. And then I sacrificed it all. I have let go of the comforts and financial ease of living in the US, a full scholarship to an elite "Ivy League" US college, and essentially the whole American Dream in order to become a modern nomad in the Philippines. I, a half Filipino half American raised in the US, now will be facing life in a turmoil-infested third world country, and I am doing so willingly. Furthermore, as this trip is a leap of independence and an emphasis of self-sufficiency, I am going there without any family or external support and without any extra money or belongings except what I feel are necessities for survival. What led to this? I kind of know, but it’s hard to explain completely. Perhaps life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and searching and understanding the meaning to it all is a large part of the reason. My instinct also tells me I may be able to find it in my birthplace, the bucolic provinces of the Philippines. I view the pastoral setting as my “safe haven” although in reality going there may prove to be my undoing. I am clouded by visions of “striking gold” in a country where everyone tells me nothing glitters. I am trying to find what it is I am meant to do in life in the Philippine provinces where modern civilization has not fully taken over life, and even though everyone tells me I am wrong, my heart still tells me that my purpose may just be found in this radical free-spirited journey.
My journey begins on February 21, 2006. I will try to document my travels as I try to live in the Philippines and do some self-retrospection in hopes of understanding life and finding myself, meaning, and my purpose at the same time.
*******
To all my readers who can understand Filipino, watch this video. It really is very touching.

Marian Rivera, Filipina version of Marimar!
As expected, Marimar registered the highest rating among all tv programs on Monday but not as impressive as the ratings of other pilot episodes of a number of GMA series in the past. Marimar registered a 36.6%, 10% higher than it’s rival show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal which received 26.5%. It’s also good enough to be the highest for the day but it’s runner-up has only 0.6% difference and it’s Richard Gutierrez‘ Lupin which registered a 36% rating. Angel Locsin’s Darna is still holding the highest pilot rating ever, a remarkable 47.1% registered on April 11, 2005.
But of course, it’s not fair to compare Marian Rivera’s Marimar with Angel Locsin’s Darna. Marimar is Marian’s very first primetime series so for the sake of comparison, we should also use Angel’s very first primetime series which is Mulawin. And the pilot episode of Mulawin registered 33.0% last August 02, 2004.
So this i must say, Marimar fared really good last night but not impressive.
