well, I always wanted to make a full review of MU contestants after the preliminaries, this year I'm revieweing the evening gowns portion of the contest as it's really my speciality and passion!
- Albania: She did not give a single smile during her performance! She is a Top model, gave a very solid performance, but it lacked the energy. Still, the girl has a good chance of making the Top15 because her national director is Fadil Barisha. the gown is beautiful, and she carried it very well, i also loved the red shoes! Another take on Miss Albania is that she is TOOOO skinny!!! Score: 8.6
- Angola: She has a very cute smile, and her performance was fun and energetic, hated the gown but loved the color on her. It is a long shot for her, but she did her best. Score: 8.2
- Argentina: looks a lot like Madonna! she is cute, but her performance was dull and the gown was less than inspiring. Score 8.0
- Aruba: her face reminds me a bit with Nicole Rita Ghazal, she was confident, but looked a bit out of shape. The gown was ok, not a standout, overall she did well. Score: 8.2
- Australia: She has one of the prettiest faces and best figures in the competition, she looked a bit bored in the beginning but fixed it in the end with that beautiful smile, loved the gown, but she could have done better. Score: 8.9
- Bahamas: The girl is very cute, loved her gown and the color worked very nicely with her skin tone, the presentation was good, she might make it due to sash factor but there are more deserving girls. Score: 8.6
- Belguim: Another stunner, she is very cute, and looked even cuter in that short dress, definately matched her! she could make the cut easily. Score: 8.8
- Bolivia: She has a beautiful face, and the gown matched her eye color, blue. But there was something wrong with her catwalk, there was no X factor there! Score: 8.4
- Brazil: Before the pageant started, this lady was on the top of the charts, sadly she wallks by unnoticed now! She has got a beautiful face, but her performance like many others lacked energy, although i liked the haid move, but that was not enough. Cute gown, but the design was so pageant patty. Score: 8.5
- Bulgaria: Very disappointing performance, she has a cute face, and she needed another dress to shine in it. Score: 8.1
- Canada: Very pretty face, excellent physique and a beautiful gown! I really donno why this girl doesn't get more attention. She could be a surprise. Score: 8.7
- Cayman Islands: She looked so classy in that white dress, loved her catwalk, now I understand why the Bahamian media loved her, reminded me of MU finalists in the 1990s! Very nice surprise. Score: 8.5
- China: VERY TALL! she has a cute face, but the gown was not the right choice for her, it looked a bit short on her, but she carried it well, still not a stunner. Score: 8.3
- Colombia: One of the best performances, and a very unique dress to support it!! Loved her short hair, her beautiful face, this girl is a sure shoe-in! Score: 9.0
- Costa Rica: pretty but nothing special and te gown was less than inspiring. Score: 8.1
- Croatia: This country always sends gorgeous ladies, this year is no difference, beautiful and tall with a beautiful gown, but there was no charisma in her presentation, sorry. Score: 8.5
- Curacao: gave a solid performance and was very confident, she did very well and the dress looked really nice on her. Score: 8.4
- Cyprus: Again, not one smile!! and what a cheap dress! the poor girl tried her best and really carried the dress very well, but there is no way she is making the cut. Score: 8.1
- Czech Republic: Reminds me a lot with former Miss South Africa, Claudia Henkel! she is very tall and simply gorgeous, she could have carried the gown better, but her gown, her looks and her figuere will get her there even if she wore a carpet! Score: 8.8
- Dominican Republic: This girl is everybodies favorite, but she disppointed me a bit! her performance was not energetic in anyway, she had a beautiful very traditional gown design and hairsyle, she played it safe. I expected a more fierce performance and a bolder choice of a gown from this girl, Still she will be in the Top5 she is simply gorgeous! Score:8.7
- Ecuador: A trditional latina with the beautiful face, fit figure and hair extensions!!! She did very well, and her gown was so angelic, could be a surprise. Score: 8.6
- Egypt: WOOOOW!! WOOOOW!! WOOOOOW!!! Elham did GREAT in the evening gown competition!!! The dress is phenominal! Simply the best Egyptian gown ever, it replaced Karine Fahmy's gown as my favorite now! Love the hair, it mde her look like Nefertiti from the side profile!! Elham carried the gown very well and I loooved the way she ended with the fierce pose and dropping the ruffels!!! Elham might be one of a very small group of Egyptian representatives who were viable Top15 entrants: Nadia Ezz 95, Karine Fahmy 98, Sarah Shaheen 01, and Heba El-Sisi 04! and guess what, Elham is my favorite MEU among them! It is very very possible for us to see Egypt placing this year!!!! Good Luck Elham!!! Score: 8.9
- Elsalvador: I donno is it because she came right after Egypt, but her performance was really dull and uninteresting, just not one of the best. Score: 8.2
- Estonia: Very tall girl, she is pretty and her gown was nice, she was not disappointing, but she will not make it. Score: 8.3
- Ethiopia: Gorgeous face!!! and I really lked the dress, it was unusual, but she moved on the stage too quickly, she needed some more time to make a deeper impact. Possible Top15. Score: 8.6
- Finland: Beautiful face and dress, she did it all right, but I don't see her making the cut. Very cute though. Score: 8.4
- France: She is not the most beautiful facially, but she is very fit, she has a wonderful wardrobe and she looks amazing on the catwalk!! This girl is this year's Miss Japan, but she is the real thing, Japan was a fake in the last three years, this girl comes from the land of fashion! She is a sure shoe-in. Score: 8.9
- Georgia: She is very cute, but nothing special about her facially. Loved the color of her dress, pink was unique this year! Score: 8.4
- Germany: It is sad that the National Director of Germany who is the same director of Netherlands has tried to make Miss Germany a fake copy of the favorite, Netherlands with that hair color!! She lost her edge! She has a great body, not so great face, and she kept moving her left arm during her presentation, it distracted me from her beautiful red dress. Score: 8.4
- Ghana: Ugly dress, cute face, her performance was another dull one, Score: 8.1
- Great Britain: Very beautiful girl, she is certainly a surprise this year, love her style and hair color, loved the green dress too and such a strong performance. Score: 8.9
- Greece: did not impress me, not an attractive face and very weired catwalk! nothing much to say. Score: 8.2
- Guam: This sexy kitten must make it, she is soooo cute and loved her yellow dress. She is one of the very unique contestants this year and I looooved her sexy performance. Score: 8.8
- Guatemala: One of the prettiest faces this year, a very beautiful gown, but there was no X factor to support it. Score: 8.6
- Guyana: Beautiful white gown, but there was nothing special although the girl did her best and have a splid performance. Good job. Score: 8.3
- Honduras: She is one of the most beautiful contestants this year and the strongest representative from her country since Diana Prince, she is my personal favorite for the crown, loved her gown and her energy, very well done! Score: 9.0
- Hungary: Very fierce, the gown is a love it or hate it dress, but the point here is that we need fierce choices when it comes to gowns and this girl certainly did! Score: 8.6
- Iceland: Very beautiful face, but not so her body. The gown looked cheap on her and made her look wider but she gave a very good performance. Score: 8.4
- India: This is my favorite dress of the night, she looked phenomental in it, although im not a big fan of the girl, but she carried the gown very well and it certainly helped her make a better impact, the new Lara Dutta? I doubt, but possibly a Top15. Score: 8.6
- Indonesia: She carried the gown very nicely, but too much with the facial experession. It is official that this yea'rs MU trend is blue:) Score: 8.5
- Ireland: very beautiful face and a very graceful figure and movements, but the gown did not help her a lot in this case. Score: 8.4
- Israel: Could be the most beautiful blonde, she gave a very energetic presntation, meaning that she was moving too qickly, but she had no grace to model her dress in the right way, stil a gorgeous face! Score: 8.5
- Italy: The new Sofia Loren!!!! loved her face and her dress, she also moved very nice on stage, maybe the hair was too much but she looked overall phenomenal! Score: 8.8
- Jamica: She was wearing an exact replica of Oxana Feredova's gown from 2002!! There was no way she would match to Oxana's performance, poor girl! score: 8.3
- Japan: loved her performance, she is very pretty, but the gown was UGLY least to say! If Ines wanted to be more environmentaly friendly she should have gone with something else, this dress was really a very bad choice! As I said earlier, France is the new Japan! Score: 8.5
- Korea: Cute face, beautiful gown and no catwalk skills or whatsover!!! one of the worst performances of the night with those moving arms!!! Score: 8.2
- Kosovo: If one of Fadil's girl has to make it then it certainly is Kosovo! At least she smiles:D I really liked her dress and her hair, very dramatic! Score: 8.8
- Lebanon: The cutest face of the pageant, hands down! but I really wished to see her hair up, the top of her dress just ate her body and made her look overweight and did not flatter her face because she does not have a long neck, I wonder who chose it for her, the presentation was ok, although facial expressions were a bit over the top, Im just very sad because she could have wasily made a better impact wearing another dress. Score: 8.4
- Malysia: The most beautiful Asian face, I loved her look and style, a strong presentation and the color looked nice on her too, possible surprise. Score: 8.6
- Mauritius: Very cheap dress, this is not a barbie doll contest sad! Score:8.2
- Mexico:The prettiest girl in the pageant wears a rag! hated the dress, but she still managed to carry it very nicely, I love her! Score: 8.7
- Montenegro: WHAT IS THAT!!! Mauritius might have been wearing the cheapest dress, but this is certainly the ugliest, this girl looked great upon arrival but since then she has been dropping, sad! Score: 8.3
- Namibia: The baby blue version of Guyana's dress, nothing special about the girl but she is cute. Score: 8.2
- Netherlands: Face of the year as many call her had an unfortunate situation backstage when she lost her high heels and though couldn't wear that beautiful silver dress she was wearing in the photoshoot, she had to go with this dress, it is not a bad one, but certainly did not have the same impact as the silver gown. She is still a front runner! Score: 8.8
- Newzeland: Is she high?!! Seriously, the girl was too excited!! I wonder what if they called her name on the finals, she would probably faint! That's why it's never gonna happen! Sad, i liked the dress! Score: 8.3
- Nicaragua: Ok, the girl is not very pretty, but she presented herself with a lot of grace, very nice indeed! The gown is unique, I guess the only grey one for the night and very different style too. Good job! Score: 8.6
- Nigeria: I donno whats the fuss is all about, many experts think she is a dark horse, well for me she is just dark! I did not like the gown and her body is not all that, again not one smile on stage? baby u r a clapper! Score: 8.1
- Norway: pretty face, cheap dress, the kind u get from hallmark! sad, she carried it very well though! Score: 8.3
- Panama: beautiful face, reminds me a bit with Horeya Farghaly! Love the dress, one of my favorite white dresses of the evening. Score: 8.6
- Paraguay: Beautiful smile!!!! and she was fierce on the stage, but the gown was too weired, i donno I guess it is a love it or hate it gown, in my case i hated! Score: 8.4
- Thailand: The color was catchy, she was not! Score: 8.3
- Turkey: I admire her courage for wearing something like that! It is very strange, still I find it appealing in a strange and certainly not a good way. The girl has a very beautiful face though, reminds me of Yara Naoum. Score: 8.4
- Turks & Caicous: One of the best gowns, and best performances of the night comes from a very unusual and unexpected country! The girl is not the traditional beauty queen type or looks, but she certainly deserves a salute! I wish she makes it because we need a change:) Score: 8.5
- Ukraine: whats with the hand movement?!!!! Anyways the girl is gorgeous and had a beautiful dress on, she is definately in! Score: 8.8
- Uruguay: Beautiful girl, and probably the sexiest dress of the night I just love the animal print, but she looked bored wearing it, it ruined her chances. Score: 8.5
- USA: A Top15 spot for sure, but she shouldn't advance more than that fairly. She modeled the dress in a nice way though. Score: 8.7
- Venezuela: mmmmmm....mmmmm...mmmm! I donno, didn't fall in love with her, I feel sorry for ssaying it out loud:D this girl looks her best not smiling! the dress was wired with the feathers, but i lover the top part of it, and hated the hairstyle, so sad! Score: 8.6
- Vietnam: Beautiful girl and a beautiful gown, very possible Top15!!! Score: 8.7
- Zambia: loved the hair:) nothing more! Score: 8.2
