It has just been announced that the music for the evening gown competition at this year's Miss Universe will be:

Kelly Rowland feat. David Guetta - When Love Takes Over



This song is a clubbing anthem so, it's clear that MUO is trying to make this year's evening gown competition more of a fashion runway show unlike last year when they used softer music.

So, I hope Elham's official evening gown has a flowing skirt and is easy to walk in because this year the music is fast-paced!

With Miss Universe quickly approaching (it will start in 8 days!) I just wanted to post some final suggestions for Elham.

HAIR

As all of us fans agree, Elham's hair is definitely superb! I think the type of hairstyle that would compliment her facial features is the "Giselle" look, named after supermodel, Giselle Bundchen.



The Giselle hairstyle is all about loose curls and waves cascading gently down so that when she walks, the hair really has amazing movement - perfect for the stage/runway!

I know that at Miss Universe, there are several hair stylists present who make sure the delegates are ready for the preliminary competition and the live telecast. It's imperative that you inform them about the exact hairstyle that you want.

MAKE-UP: LIPS

I noticed that in Elham's newest photos on this message board, the make-up artist applied lipstick ABOVE her natural lip line. Please do not do this in the Bahamas! Your lips are lovely and naturally luscious. They do not need to look any fuller. Enhancing your lips even more will make them appear disproportioned. Women would kill to have your gorgeous lips! I suggest just neutral/pink shades of lipstick/lip gloss to make your lips glisten while still keeping that fresh youthful glow.

If you want more definition, use lip liner but again, it is best to stay close to your natural lip line and not to exceed it.

Also, it's important to wear lip mosturizer of chapstick so that your lips are always moist. You will be smiling a lot in the Bahamas and this coupled with the warm weather may dry out your lips. So keep them moist!




MAKE-UP:EYES

Because Elham's browline is low, it is important to make the skin between your upper eyelids and your eyebrows pop as much as possible.

I suggest eyeliner, then a small layer of eye shadow, and finally (and most importantly) some white/transluscent eye shadow to highlight this area. Again, this will wtill give Elham then youthful and fresh appareance that MUO seems to be looking for.

The official crowning of Miss Egypt Universe 2009, Elham Wagdi will be on 21 or 22/7/2009 in a special event that will be held in Cairo!
Elham Wagdi is now preparring for Miss Universe 2009 and she will soon appear in many TV programs to be announced soon!!






The crown is designed by Egyptian artist Mahmoud Haridy who designed the Miss Egypt Universe crowns in 2001,02,04,05 and 2006!
Soon the pictures of Elham wearing the crown will be published here!!!

Ok, so it's obvious that I am the worst photoshopper there is and Fadil Berisha will never hire me to touch up his photos but I found this white Roberto Cavalli gown with a crystal fan image on the side that Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. Posh Spice) wore at one of his fashion shows. I think it would suit Elham well.



A lot of us have compared Elham with Amelia Vega and one option she could do to add some glamour to her evening gown is jewelled arm attachments to either one or both of her arms.

It was reported in a Mexican newspaper that this year's Miss Universe pageant will return to its popular 90's format of only having 10 semi finalists.

The top 10 will compete in both swimsuit and evening gown the scores will be averaged out and the top 5 will be selected.

The producer of Miss Universe, Phil Gurin, affirms that with the return of the individual interviews, will come more "youtube" moments. He also mentioned that with the top 15 format it does not allow the public to indentify themselves with any of the contestants, which has been reflected on the ratings each year.

No one knows if this is indeed true, although the Miss Universe producer has been quoted. It's probably just a rumor. However, if it is true, do you think Trump will still choose his personal 5?

Elham Wagdi is now back in Egypt and she started her preparation for Miss Universe 2009!
Elham will now work on her visa and will be always in contact with you guys through the board and a new blog coming soon.
Elham is very happy with your comments and suggestions, she asked me to tell you that her presentation show gown will probably be light "white, creame or light yellow" because and I quote "That makes me feel really glamourus, it will be as exciting for me as a wedding day for a bride!"
Also Elham is preparing for her big coronation ball where she will be officially crowned by Face To Face as Miss Egypt Universe 2009!!! More about the coming event, Elham's wardrobe and preparation soooooooooooon!:D

lord help i usually sleep by 9 and between staying up and watching the boring miss lebanon it was so not worth it

ok i liked the winner she and candy the only 2 who was ok for me to win even though i liked candy more still the winner is cute just cute

now what the hell wrong with the lbc you will think they are rich did any one saw the prize for the winner nivea !!! this is the cheapest make up ever what a joke and we wonder why miss japan has all this gowns
and trip for dubai for 2 days really !

horrible production worst than last yr i cant believe they manage that did any one notice that nancy wasnt even singing !

and the grls non of them had the skills of a miss except one grl who didn't even crack the top 5 i cant remember her name she was the only won who can walk and pose she wasnt the best looking but you can tell from her catwalk that she knew what she's doning but again she's not that pretty and im afraid that lbc want at most pretty face

the host was a joke and creepy to me and you can feel the grls cant stand him

the winner is ok i guess dont kept ur high up for winning international title but she's cute

This gown was from a fashion show by Mexican designer Jorge Castellanos in Algeria last November. I think it's gorgeous and so is the cocktail gown.. Needless to say the models are Algerian 8)

Here are some gowns by Lebanese haute couture designer Abed Mahfouz. I think these would suit Elham perfectly and would look spectacular on stage!



15. Turquoise blue would look amazing on Elham. The one-shoulder design is also amazing and there is just enough beading to sparkle.

34. This is a soft pink version of Dayana Mendoza's dress from last year except there is more beading. The skirt would look fantastic if the wearer were to spin and the exposed top would show off Elham's shoulders and arms nicely.




37. This is something that Ines would choose for her Miss Japans. This dress is so refreshing and unique. The metallic bodice adds modernity to the beaded flower print and yellow silk chiffon. Again, the skirt is flowing so the wearer can play with it and show it off as she spins/turns. Talk about colour! The Caribbean audience/prelim judges would love this one.

41. This is a Miss Universe dress. Liquid beading in metallic silver and gold. If Elham can get this from Abed Mahfouz then I think she'll win the preliminary gown competition!

VERSACE has few amazing gowns in his latest collection some will look amazing on elham but im not sure about the cost i read that japan will have versace this year how can they efford these gowns is beyond me


i like this gown which is almost similer to oscar de renta i love both colors

As you all know, Elham is now in Dubai on a business trip plus preparring for Miss Universe 2009! Elham regularly checks the board and asked me to tell you that she read Lorra's message with the gown suggestions and that she already got the same purple Dona Karen dress!!!! Elham wore the exact same gown in a phoptoshoot in Dubai and another red gown similar to the 2nd suiggestion. The pictures will be uploaded to the board once Elham is back for you guys to select:)
