Doaa holds the record of the tallest girl ever to compete in Miss Egypt, she stands 183cm and she was my favorite to win the crown along with Horeyya Farghaly and Dalia Omar, however, her answers did not help.
Doaa is an aspiring Egyptian actress now:)

BAHAMAS TO HOST MISS UNIVERSE 2009

Nassau, the BAHAMAS - It's now confirmed: Miss Universe 2009 will be held in the paradise islands of the Bahamas. It's been officially announced by the Prime Minister of the Bahamas this Monday at the House of Assembly, said a press release sent by the Miss Bahamas Universe Organization through its public relations officer, Ms. Monalisa Thompson.

Ms. Gaynell Stubbs, National Director for the Miss Bahamas Pageant, says "this is a dream come true for the Bahamas and could not have come in a better time".

The year's highly contested 2009 Miss Bahamas Universe Pageant will be held in May, as many of the small island beauties seek to serve as the official Ambassador for the Bahamas. The winner will try to accomplish at home what not other Bahamian beauty queen has done in the past editions of the pageant: to advance to Miss Universe's semifinals.

The final international event and telecast will take place at the fabulous Atlantis Paradise Resort, supposedly on August 30 (TBC).

Government authorities believe it will be a great opportunity for the Bahamas to expose its natural beauties to several places around the world, mostly the USA, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia.

Miss Universe is today the second most watched international beauty pageant in the world, reaching a global audience close to 1 billion people.

Eighty plus international delegates are expected to participate in this year's event.

Although the laws of probability are rarely on our side when it comes to placing in Miss Universe, this does not mean -by far- that we do not send girls more than worthy of the competition.
Our girls express a sensation of class, elegance, grace and kindness.
Bravo ya Yara for holding out this long and making us proud. You looked stunning at every oppertunity. I'm sure you're homesick but know that we will be waiting for you to return and welcome you home with open arms.
Bravo 3aleiky ya katkoota :]
Take care for now,

MISS EARTH EGYPT 2009

Egypt has an outstanding Track Record in Miss Earth, the third largest pageant in the world! EGYPT PRODUCED One (1) FINALIST in 2006 (Meriam George, 5th Placer) and one (1) SEMIFINALIST in 2004 (Arwa Gouda, 9th Placer).

QUESTION: IS FACE TO FACE ORGANIZATION INTERESTED IN COMPETING IN MISS EARTH? I HEARD THAT THE MISS EGYPT ORGANIZATION LOST THE MISS EARTH FRANCISE SINCE 2007? ANYONE KNOWS THE TRUE STORY

Arwa Gouda, Miss Earth Egypt 2004, MISS EARTH 2004 SEMIFINALIST

Meriam George, Miss Earth Egypt 2006, MISS EARTH 2006 FINALIST

This is the only photo of Sanaa during the final telecast that I have been able to find thus far. She is 2nd from the right in the 2nd row.

As a last minute replacement she should be so proud! She got the MOST EXPOSURE of any MISS EGYPT at Miss World recently.

She took centre stage at the FIFA Cup draw and she placed in the Top 25 at Beach Beauty. If Meriam George or anyone else accomplished this people would be jumping up and down, so why not now?

I am proud of Sanaa and I am happy that Face2Face allowed the return of Miss Egypt back to Miss World after a few years hiatus.

Congrats!

Algiers: - Asma Afen, a 21 years old graduate of business management from Algiers, was crowned by Art & Mode Agency as Miss Algeria 2009 on December 5th in El Safir Hotel, amongst 17 contestants. Runner-ups were Sihem Hamidouche and Soumia Wissi.

The Algerian press heavily criticized the contest, calling it a "fiasco" for the poor organization and decorum of the contest and questioned the results that clearly favored less deserving contestants over more deserving ones.

Meanwhile, another Miss Algeria 2009 is soon to be crowned by Nedjma Agency, presided by Mr. Cheradi. The latter revealed to "Djazair News" that 60 contestants will compete in his contest for 2 titles, Miss Algeria 2009 and Best Model of Algeria 2009. Guests of honors will include a Miss France representative, Erkan Ozerkan - President of Best Model of the World, and hopefully famous Turkish actor and model Kivanc Tatlitug, known to Arabs as "Mouhannad". The organisor also hopes that the new Miss Algeria 2009 will have the honor to be received by the Algerian president.

Too sad that we sent Sanaa to miss world, a7eeh we auooohhhh,

2008 year was full of downs: economic crisis, Oil reduced, female singers and their dauthers being killed in Egypt prices and Sanaa (Gamalat Kofta) to present us in Miss world

Anyway i hope that they take her as a hostage or Bin ladin uses her to bomb face to face building .

When is Miss Egypt 2009 is going to be?
Let us pray that 2009 we will witness a true beauty, Ehssan was an excellent choice but her body did not play in her favor.

I wish to see Reem Helal, Sama7 Adel or Do3aa t3ema in beauty pageants.

FRom GB:
Durban - It was a tough decision for the panel of international judges tonight when they had to select the contestants for Saturday`s Beach Beauty Final. The event was open to every contestant and standards were very high.

The excitement and anticipation will continue until Saturday when one contestant is voted this year`s Beach Beauty and the first contestant to go through the semi-finals is confirmed. Through to Saturday s final, which takes place at the exclusive Beverley Hills Hotel in Umhlanga, are:-

Angola
Australia
Colombia
Croatia
Egypt
India
Kazakhstan
Lebanon
Mexico
New Zealand
Paraguay
Philippines
Puerto Rico
Russia
Serbia
South Africa
Spain
Thailand
Trinidad & Tobago
Turkey
Ukraine
United States
Uruguay
Venezuela
Zimbabwe

The winner of Beach Beauty will automatically advance to the semi finals.

Shocking non inclusions in the "top 25" were Bahamas, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Uganda.

The "Beach Beauty" title can be a blessing (Rosanna Davison, Miss World 2003 won this title and the crown) or a curse (Federica Guzman of Venezuela and Ada de la Cruz of the Dominican Republic were the winners in 2006 and 2007, but despite being major favorites, did not place past the top 15)

Sana was only 18 when she entered the pageantary world in 2002 and competed for Miss Alexandria title. This was the first Miss Alexandria contest to be held in decades and was sponsored by Face To Face. Sana did not make it to the Top3 but was granted the Top Model award which gave her an express pass to compete in Miss Egypt that year along with the Top3. Sana, although a favorite, did not advance to the Top10 and started her modeling career. She later became one of Alexandria's and Egypt's Top catwalk models. in 2006 Sana competed in Mission Fashion modeling contest but she did not make it to the Top3. In 2007 she was appointed by Face To Face to instruct the girls in catwalk.

I'm not sure where Global Beauties got their information from but they stated that Meriam George was the Egyptian representative at Miss World. THIS IS FALSE.

The real Miss Egypt World is an Egyptian woman by the name of Sanaa Ismail Hamed.

http://www.globalbeauties.com/world/2008/w08_contestants_africa.htm

She was chosen as one of 8 Miss World contestants to participate in the FIFA Confederations Cup soccer tournament draw.

Does anyone have any information on Sanaa?

SOURCES : Kyrgyzstan news site
Zimbawe standard news

New Zim Daily news
According to press reports John Singh and his Miss Tourism World have been able to fool government officials in Tanzania into parting with millions of dollars to host his notorious Miss Tourism World 2009 Con test, that assembles Model and go-go dancers who then masquerade as National beauty queens for the purposes of deceiving the host nation and gullible Governments into believing they are hosting a prestigious International beauty contest, in fact the only prestigious thing about Miss Tourism World and the content is the prestigious and generous sums of money John Singh seems to be able to convince 3rd world buffoons and tourism authorities to part with as hosting fees.

His contest has over the several years that it has been held offered no tangible or evident tourism promotional opportunities or benefits to the host nations, none of the main stream pageant website forums or blogs give or have given any coverage what so ever to Miss Tourism World, as a contest it is simply seen as the biggest joke in pageantry! And if you even mention Miss Tourism world you will literally be laughed off a board.

It leaves only debts, law suits, girls who are never paid prizes, and a two week long sexual escapade with the contestants for his entourage who sample the girls in their brand of pre-judging and demand to be housed in 5 star luxury at the host countries expense.
Case in point Miss Tourism World in Antalya Turkey 2007 where he assembled 57 Models and go-go dancers and handed out titles from all his pageants in one night, making a mockery of his statement as the largest organizer of beauty pageants in the world.

No doubt John Singh will be laughing all the way to the bank again, whist the almost bankrupt Govt government of Tanzania is left to ponder what hit them, so the big CON ....test continues......mean while tourism officials in Kyrgyzstan did their home work, got wise found out about him and his company and put a stop to his charade and attempt to fleece them out of $3million, but it seems like the Tourism officials in Tanzania seem stuck on stupid, of fascinated by seeing White girls in bikinis parade in front of them .... your guess is as good as mine

Subject: Miss Earth vs. Miss World/Miss Universe and the downfall of Miss International & Miss Asia Pacific

Author:

Date Posted: 09:47:59 11/09/08 Sun
(dynamic2-255-045.usc.edu/68.181.255.45)

I know this post is going to attract a lot of antagonism from Miss Earth fanatics but to be honest all I am going to speak is shear truth. This post will talk about the status of Miss Earth, the wrong-path it took and the fall of Miss International.

1) The fact that Miss Earth will ever rival contests like Miss World and Miss Universe is never going to happen, however, with one exception which I will talk about later. This is because the two aforementioned contests have history and built up its reputation along the way. The only way Miss Earth can become superpower is if Miss World and Miss Universe cease to exist.

2) Miss Earth is a new contest and will certainly gain popularity but not to the extent of established organizations like Miss World, Miss International and Miss Universe.

3) Head of established international pageant organization (Julia Morley & members of the Miss Universe organization) have recognized and proclaimed Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International as the most prestigious international contests in the world during press conference in Mexico City organized earlier this eyar by Nuestra Belleza Mexico Org.

4) Legitimacy of candidates @ Miss Earth: There have been a lot of questions raised regarding the very legitimacy of candidates at Miss Earth. Even though more national contests for Miss Earth are being organized nowadays, still a majority of the candidates are either 1) HANDPICKED FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES OR ARE 2) HANDPICKED EXPATRIATES. Some famous examples include - for scenario 1) Miss Earth 2001 & 2003 and for scenario 2) A lot of contestants actually but some famous ones are Vida Samadzai (living in United States) and all these so called "Miss Pakistan" who are coming from Canada.

5) Let me have you guys think: HOW MANY OF THESE CANDIDATES COME FROM "NATIONAL CONTESTS" OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES. Only a very few do (like Miss India - Femina Miss India sends second runnerup to Miss Earth because it was in a contract with Carousel Productions for India's representative to Miss Asia Pacific). Many national organizations like Miss Aruba, Srta. Colombia, Miss Venezuela, Miss Espana, Miss France have shown no interest in picking up Miss Earth franchise and continue to send their representatives to Miss International, Miss World and Miss Universe.

6)Unlike Miss Earth which has literally 'copy catted' the format of the old pageants, historical contests like Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International (even Miss Asia Pacific) have 'EVOLVED' through the years.

7)The rise to popularity of Miss Earth was this acceptance of 'illegitemate or handpicked' contestants to raise participation - something which contests like Miss World, Miss Universe and Miss International abolished a long time ago so that the 'MISSES' are 'REALLY THE MISSES OF THOSE COUNTRIES' and not 'THE MODELS, RELATIVES OR FRIENDS OF A FRANCHISE HOLDER." This is the CAUSE OF THE DOWNFALL OF MISS INTERNATIONAL - which in recent years have found it increasingly hard to get contestants from national contests. This is why, the number of contestants in Miss International and Miss Universe are low. Miss World is an exception as it garners 112 contestants(for this year) probably cause of its media popularity and the fact that it is in headquartered in London - it actually attracts a lot more European nations.

8) In 2001 and 2002, I saw Miss Earth as an emerging power in the arena of beauty pageants but in an effort to gain power Carousel Productions have availed 'cheaper' means. However, it can get back on track as well, BY ABOLISHING THE ACCEPTANCE OF ILLEGITIMATE REPRESENTATIVES LIKE LIBERIA, PAKISTAN, AFGHANISTAN ETC. ETC. AND ENFORCING A STRICT RULE THAT A NATIONAL CONTEST HAS TO BE ORGANIZED IN THE COUNTRY TO ELECT THE REPRESENTATIVES.

HOW MANY OF YOU AGREE?

Hi Sarah,

I liked the objectivity of your post and I wanted to put in my opinion.

I think Face2Face pulled off an exceptional pageant in 2007. The prelims were meant to be held outside and were moved inside at the very last minute due to a storm. However, Face2Face executed the contest quite well in a professional manner. The stage was modern and the contestant head shots were also very well done.

I do agree that the cocktail dresses were tacky but so are the ones used at Miss USA and Miss Universe, so that's not a huge problem but like you, I do hope nicer dresses are used in the future.

As for your comment about the quality of delegates, it is difficult for Face2Face to do anything about this. Egyptian women apply to participate for Miss Egypt, they are not forced. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you may find some women gorgeous and others plain. The contest is meant to select the best overall contestant out of all of the women who take part in the pageant. In every pageant around the world we see that some years the crop is highly competitive and in other years not so much. It's the way pageants work I think. I remember that in 2004, the overall quality of the Miss Universe contestants was so high. In 2005, I felt it dropped tremendously.

I do agree with you about Ehsan and Yara's selected evening gowns for the Miss Universe preliminaries. Both were nice gowns but not really "wow" gowns. The Nicolas Jebran gown that Yara had with her but didn't use for the prelims was actually quite amazing and suited her body very well. It was definitely a unique gown and I thought this was refreshing because it was not "pageant patty". I think Ehsan's gold dress was used because the stage was so dark that her other navy blue gown would have not popped on stage.

In terms of Yara's other wardrobe, I think she was equipped with some very classy evening wear. She had quite a few gorgeous gowns that she wore to galas and elegant functions. I think Yara also looked great in her casual clothes although, I agree that we saw the same shorts and hat a few times. But people are always at their best when they are wearing something that they feel comfortable in, so if she felt comfortable in this attire then it's understandable.

I do want to add to something you briefly commented about. I think future Miss Egypt contestants should see Miss Egypt and Miss Universe as a pageant AND as a job. I think many national pageant queens only see Miss Universe as a one night telecast and contest but this is wrong. The winner of Miss Universe has a job to carry out for one year. I think this job aspect surprises beauty queens from many different countries when they arrive to the Miss Universe host country and thus, we end up seeing girls lose their excitement. The only recent Miss Egypt whom I felt was truly hungry to win Miss Universe was Heba El-Sisy in 2004. Don't get me wrong. The other Egyptian representatives were all classy, gorgeous, respectful, and made me and others proud. But it was obvious that Heba really wanted to compete and really wanted to win.

This leads me to this year's Miss Universe Top 15. Many favourites failed to make the cut. Was this because MUO felt these favourites could not handle the job or was it because the prelim judges (all of whom were Vietnamese) wanted to help Miss Vietnam get as close to the title as possible and cut her competition in half by weeding out the other stunners? We will never know. MUO is all about money and close relations. I believe I saw a post on this MB where it was said that the Miss Egypt Universe fanchise fee is lower than the Miss Egypt World franchise fee. This definitely affects Egypt's chances at Miss Universe and it is hard to separate an Egyptian's representative's performance from the pageant politics. As we see every year, even the most stunning ladies are left clapping.

All in all, I think Face2Face are doing what others can't do in Egypt. They fight the bad press and the people who claim that their pageant is pointless and put on a great spectacle and I think that's worth quite a lot. Who else in Egypt can do that? Not many. So I think they deserve a lot of support and inshallah, one day Miss Egypt will crack the semis at Miss Universe.

Malet El Arab 2008 has just been announced and the winner is DOAA HAKAM from Egypt!
Doaa was a contestant in the 2007 and she won a special award during her participatuion.

Its a beautiful surprise to see for the first time an Egyptian being chosen as Malehet El Arab, the title used to be restrictied to Lebanese girls before.
Malehet El Arab is a beauty contest that started in the 1970s in Lebanon when during the summer many Arab tourists used to visit the country, however it stopped dur to the war and was revived few years later. What is interesting about the contest is that the preliminary round is not watched by the public, girls send their pics to the organization and then the winner is announced in a big ceremony with none of the finalists attending.

Congratulations Doaa you deserve it!

“Underground River” in Sabang, Puerto Princesa City, also known as the Saint Paul Subterranean River National Park, which was declared by UNESCO as “World Heritage Site”.

WEEKEND WAS again busy with Miss Earth 2008 delegates visiting the “City in a Forest” for their swimsuit competition, which was held at Sitio Sabang, Barangay Cabayugan. Guess what, their pictorial was done inside the world famous underground river cave.

Before they proceeded to Sabang, they first visited Puerto Princesa and had a motorcade in the main street.

Thirty delegates of GROUP 3 from around the earth arrived in this beautiful place for the swimsuit competition. They also visited Cabayugan Elementary School for the Adopt-a-School program.

Miss Earth is a beauty pageant for a cause that has a big concern for the environment. The coronation night will be held at Clark Expo Amphitheater in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines on November 9 and it will be aired over ABS-CBN.

At the conclusion of the final night of the competition, outgoing titleholder Miss Earth 2007, Jessica Nicole Trisko of Canada will crown her successor.

The underground River
by Ivan Henares of Click The City

On the boat on the way to the river entrance, we were afforded stunning views of the limestone karst landscape that characterizes the park. The boat passed by a beach which I remember from my trip in 1997. Swimming is not allowed in the river entrance area which is why you have to hike up and down the Monkey Trail to get to that beach to swim.

At the river entrance, you have to sign their register, wear life jackets and protective helmets, and wait in line to board small boats with outriggers that would take you into the cave. Each boat has a battery-powered lamp in front, which I would later find out while exploring the area were charged with solar energy. Our boat guide was Toting, the most popular of the guides because of his humor. In fact, he is much sought after by visitors and is the go-to guy for television features.

It was a different world we entered, one covered in complete darkness, pierced by the solitary spotlight we had on board. Looking up, you would see different species of bats hanging from the ceiling, fast asleep. Their presence was obvious due to the pungent odor of guano, or bat dung, close to the mouth of the cave.

Flying around were cave swiflets (not bats as others mistake them for) that are most known for the nests they create from their saliva that become the main ingredient of nido soup. The formations inside the cave are spectacular. The speleothems (the cave formations or secondary mineral deposits), which are formed by thousands of years of mineral accumulation, were very interesting.

The Underground River in Puerto Princesa is the longest explored underground river in the world. A total of 8.2 kilometers have been discovered and 4.3 kilometers are navigable; but access to tourists is limited to 1.5 kilometers. You’ll have to get a special permit to explore the rest of the river.

The current ranking reflects the current sentiments of the fans since the delegates start arriving to the Philippines. Greece dropped down 7 notches to the 8th spot.

Hey guys, I just wanted to post some of my opinions on some of the things i have been noticing with egypts representatives in international pageants. Before i say anything I just want to let you all know that yes I AM egyptian and everything I say is meant in a constructive way...im not just ripping.
The miss egypt competition seriously needs to step its game up. I watched it last year and was really very disappointed. There were only about 5 girls who were aesthetically beautiful but more importantly the presentation of the ceremony looked cheap and tacky. When comparing the miss egypt patient to the Miss Lebanon pageant for instance, its mostly little things like lighting and decorations that make the huge difference so I really think the organisers of the event should really keep in mind that what looks nice to the eye might not necesarily look great on camera. Miss Egypt 2007 just looked like a bunch of girls walking around infront of a white back drop to me.
In addition, the clothes that the girls were put in were absolutely TRAGIC. Especially the cocktail dresses with the gloves and the shoes. It was like a disaster for my eyes. When it comes to things like that I think less is more. Like the bathing suits would have looks probably 200000 times better if they were a complimenting colour like black.
Now I'm gonna talk about the contestants that have competed internationally and ill start good.
Elham Wagdi, she is absolutely stunning, she dresses well and has the perfect look to compete internationally. This is the kind of girl that all other Miss Egypt contestants should look upto. Not once have I ever seen her looking tacky or cheap, 90% of the time her clothing and presentation is excellent and its obvious that she works really hard to stay toned and tanned because that looks great on camera.
Yara Naoum, the most recent egyptian international contender. I think Yara is really cute but I honestly felt like the organisation werent fair to her when she was at Miss Universe. She has so much potential but all the clothes she was dressed in were not at ALL sophisticated. I know some of the active users on this forum found her clothes "stylish" and "sexy" but to foreigners and people on the judging panel its just plain tacky. Her evening gowns aswell, I dont know why on earth both of them were chosen. We have amazing designers in the middle east like Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad why could Yara not have been dressed by someone who genuinely makes beautiful pieces? The hesham abu el eila dress was just WRONG and I felt bad for her because she couldnt walk in it properly. Then the blue and green gown was just too much and Nicholas Jebran has WAYYYY nicer designs than that one. The same thing goes for Ehsan Hatem, whoever was dressing her during the pageant when she competed just got it completely WRONG. I think both girls have huge potential, especially Yara and just a few touch ups would have made such a difference. If both those girls, like Elham were dressed accordingly, and had really worked on toning and sculpting their bodies I think they would have done a whole lot better. But I was really proud of Yara because she seemed to have a great time despite all the rumours that were going around about her while she was there, she kept a smile on her face for all the cameras and did her best so well done.

When you look at someone like the winner from Venezuela, look at how she presented herself on the podium and off. Every single photo of her where she was at a public event in Vietnam she was dressed sooo beautifully and she has this simplicity about her. When you compare that to Yara's short shorts and midriff tops and tiny dresses it goes to show that as i said sometimes less is more. Egyptian women are beautiful, I live abroad and everywhere I go people are always rambling on about how beautiful middle eastern women are and how beautiful egyptians are so Im just hoping that with the next contestant that Egypt sends away, whoever she might be, that she is properly trained. Trained to dress, speak, walk and ofcourse trained to stay fit and toned and maintain a golden shining and sohpisticated look because I know that our girls can go far given the oppertunity.

Mission Fashion, season three, started last night! I can't believe it has been a year already!
Anyways, the stage and the catwalk looks really nice, and everything was great last night. The website has not been updated with any information about the contestants yet, but here are my review:
many girls looked really the same! looong black silky hair and not so interesting features, still, this year the heights are great, the shortest is 172 and the tallest is 182!
Also this year there is no clear-cut winner like the last two seasons when both Amina and Reem shined since night1, all the girls need to work hard and many have great potential.
My favorite girl of the night is Juhaina from Oman! she is really beautiful, blac, tall "181cm" and looks like she could win it all if she worked on her catwalk, I really wanna see her win.
My 2nd favorite is Nawal, she has a very beautiful face and a good figure, although shes not that tall 174cm.

About the Egyptian contestants:
Wafa'a: She was just too pale last night, and her catwalk was desastrous! she almost limped on the catwalk, I was not sad that she left on the first night.
May: May Fakhry is a well known model in Egypt, she appeared in many commercials, I think she did great last night, in her introduction she was so sweet and seductive, her catwalk was almost perfect, i think the best of the night, and that's why she was awarded high marks despite being the shortest contestant this year"172cm"

Good luck to alll!:D

seven beauties from the arab world are representing four countries in the upcoming KM creation International beauty pageant to be held in Sharm El-Shikh, Egypt between 23-25 novemeber 2008. The seven girls will compete among a group of 30 that were chosen based on a previous online voting.

A L G E R I A

Sonia Benkhalisa.

Sabrina Gherbi

E G Y P T

Yasmin Mohsen

Zahra El Afany

M O R O C C O

Anissa Tahri

Hafida Belhadi

T U N I S I A

Adeline Kefi

I think Algeria has the best chance of bringing the arabs the title, my personal favorites are Sabrina from Algeria and Linda from Sweeden.

Among the preliminary competitors that did not qualify to the Top30 selection was Hagar Gamal, a 2007 Miss Egypt contestant.
It is also very interesting to see for the first time a veiled girl representing Egypt Internationally, despite the level of the competition, it is still a big change in the cultural view of beauty pageants in Egypt. I think Yasmine has a very pretty face and I wish her best of luck. Also I wonder what will be she wearing for the swimsuit segment if theres one!

Good luck to all... check the rest of the competitors here:

In my opinion, Face to Face has humiliated Miss World contest through its refusal to participate in the Miss World Pageant whilst continuing to participate at Miss Universe and Miss Earth.

I am quite sure Face2Face has already lost the license but if they haven't, Julia Morley should not renew the franchise. Enough is enough, Egypt must not be allowed to participate through Face2Face.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE EGYPT PARTICIPATE IN MISS WORLD.

TO ALL DEAR EGYPTIANS... IS THERE ANY OTHER EVENT MODELLING OR TALENT AGENCY THAT ORGANIZES BEAUTY PAGEANTS IN EGYPT.

PLEASE SEND THEIR INFO. TO missworld@missworld.tv and tell Julia MOrley about this organization.

Subject: Hush,hush...Who will be the show's host for Miss Earth 2008?

Hello Sister Forum Miss Egypt and Mr. Egypt forum! This forum is linked to Miss Earth's Goddesses of Beauty Forum.

Rumors have been going on as to who will be this year's host for Miss Earth 2008. There is a strong possibility that it is again going to be Mr. Ariel Ureta who hosted the 2006 Edition. But not everybody is agreeing. Some prefer Utt of Thailand. But a certain camp strongly suggests Billy Crawford (photo shown).Crawford is the host of the Pinoy Dream Academy. Pinoy Dream Academy is the Philippine version of Endemol's Star Academy. Well, let us see what will happen.

Regarding the host countries for 2008, we are all aware of Guam and Bali. Miss Earth is really innovative in coming up with ideas on how to present the pageant. But did you know that there is almost another country included and that is Dubai! But due to time restraints, this did not push thru. So maybe, next year this will happen. Even now, we are already excited for Miss Earth 2009!

There have been posts on this Miss Earth's Goddesses of Beauties forum that Miss Liberia is looking for sponsorship. For more information, you may visit: http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/marit-woods-talks-about-miss-earth-liberia-2008/11187171/

Something very noticeable about this year's candidates, and one poster mentioned in the Miss Earth's Goddesses of Beauty Forum, that all types of beauties are well represented. So this year's competition will be very tough. I can see Snow Goddesses, Desert Goddesses, Tropical Goddesses, etc. Perhaps, National Pageant Directors realized that if they want to really win then they should send their best candidates. Currently, there are 84 crowned/elected candidates as per Dratini's report.

Another thing special about Miss Earth is it's current venue. It will be held in one of the biggest Amphitheatres in Asia, The Clark Freeport Amphitheatre. I have been suggesting this venue for at least 3 years in other forums before Miss Earth's Goddesses of Beauty was born and it became a reality! This is where the Centennial Celebration of the Philippines was held. The candidates will have a lot of space to move around but let us hope they won't stumble. That is not original LOL!

For the fans, I am happy to inform you that the Miss Earth's Goddesses of Beauty forum's system is now in place to get arrival pictures of the candidates and also the real time update during the coronation night. So watch out for these!

MISS EARTH yeah!

Until then,
