Hi Ray,

Sadly I have no idea who he was working for. All the information I have is coming from his last two letters to his sister. The letter from Haiti was written on 27 of June 1942 so from that I'd estimate the sinking took place around the first 10 days of June. The only other thing that might help is that it appears the ship had 2 names, he had written "the ..something...something"

If you like I can send you a scan of the letter itself if that would help?..my email is padraigh@rcn.com so let me know if you need it.
Again, no matter the outcome I'm very grateful for your help.
Patrick
