[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Tue December 22, 2015 12:56:46 Because of Steve Harvey's faux pas seen and heard around the world, Trump feels that Miss Colombia (the 1st runner-up) should be crowned Miss Universe in addition to Miss Philippines (the real winner). This would be absolute STUPIDITY. For Trump to make such a boneheaded statement is an insult to our intelligence. I feel sorry for Miss Colobmia. Really I do. But, under the circumstances, I really doubt that she would want to wear what would be a tainted crown and have a tainted title. Trump also has stated that if he had still been involved in the pageant, this never would have happened. Hmmmmm, hey, Mr. Trump, what would you have done to prevent it. Considering all the gaffes that he has already made (and we're still 10 and a half months away from Election Day) I have to wonder whether Trump will go to the well one too many times and will be buried for good. Keep in mind, Howard Dean made one major gaffe (his rant following a primary loss) and the press made sure to bury his candidacy. Rick Perry made one major debate gaffe (not being able to name all the agencies he would eliminate) and that finished his candidacy. I am not suggesting that either would have won. But I am suggesting that Trump has done equally outrageous things and is, for whatever reason, still standing. I am sure it has to do in part with the popularity of "The Apprentice." Trump suggesting that both ladies should wear the crown in light of Steve Harvey's unforgivable error is absolutely ABSURD. I was considering voting for Trump because I think that Hillary will be Obama II. But he is making it much more difficult for me. I do look forward to Trump-Megyn II.
