Subject: Opinion: Cruz and Christie did the best; Rubio play but slightly weaker; Bush did reasonably well; Trump not so good.

These comments are one person's opinion and may not be worth a hill of beans or even a single bean. But they are sincere.

Cruz probably did the best and I say this in spite of the fact that I am not a fan of his at all. I would put Christie in a virtual dead head in terms of his performance. Rubio did not disgrace himself but he did seem to lose his cool at times. For Jeb Bush, it was his best performance to date; whether that means anything is something else.

Trump came across as not very nice and not very funny. Of course up to now he has been immune to poor debate performances. That may change when the actual votes (not just polls) come in. Constantly making fun of his commanding lead over Jeb was both tiresome and unnecessary.

I think that Paul, Fiorina, Carson and Casich should all pack it in. None of them have a prayer to get the nomination. Fiorina's "woman" joke fell really flat.

Wolf Blitzer did an okay job. But he looked and sounded stupid when, more than an hour and a half into the debate (prior to a commercial) he told everyone "we're just getting started." Then again, what you you expect from a CNN guy, working for an organization that sees everying as "Breaking News."

"Rubio play but slightly weaker should read "Rubio okay but slightly weaker" (NT)...Wed December 16, 2015 00:33:11
The strategy should just be to piss off Trump, he was sounding pretty childish when going at it with Jeb (NT)Then again, that's Trump's emotional levelWed December 16, 2015 10:02:52
