Nope sorry, little Barak was being teased and naturally acted out . High school age Willard didn't like the fact a long haired gay student had the nerve to be at the same exclusive prep school, so he and his buddies took it upon themselves take care of the situation.
It does not surprise me you look at both instances in the same light!
