Turns out, the Mitt Romney a lot of folks voted for back then never showed up to work. To jog your memory, here's a shortlist of what we endured while he was governor -- a stark reminder of what's on the line in this election:
During Romney's tenure, Massachusetts was 47th out of 50 states in job creation -- and lost manufacturing jobs at twice the national average.
Long-term debt increased by 16.4 percent, and Massachusetts had the largest per person debt in the nation. Romney even left a billion-dollar deficit at the end of his term.
Taxes and fees went up $750 million per year -- and the state and local taxes owed by the average Bay Stater went up by $1,200 per person.
The cost of a college education skyrocketed, and in Romney's second year, K-12 schools saw the second largest percentage cut in the nation on per-pupil education spending.
While cutting taxes for wealthy people like him, Governor Romney raised fees that hit the middle class, vetoed a minimum wage increase, and even shipped jobs overseas.
AND....how many Cities & Towns in Mass. were near bankruptcy after he made budget cuts and shifted costs to the Cites & Towns.
