Subject: Marlborough schools' social media policy


The School Committee’s Policy Subcommittee on Thursday afternoon restarted talks on a social media policy that would govern how faculty, staff and students could interact online.

Hennessy and Greulich both said they thought it would be important with the ever-increasing creep of technology into all aspects of life to have something on the books sooner rather than later.

Committee members said they recognized that social media can be a valuable tool for education, but said lines between personal and professional can blur online without a clearly delineated policy dictating how those interactions can happen.

Is the Committee being oversensitive??? Should they just let it work thinks out.
