Subject: John Kerry's out there working for YOU

This ought to bring some comments from the hate mongers.

He's been a busy man :0)

On the third day of the Supreme Court proceedings on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, Senator Kerry, along with Senators Blumenthal (D-Conn.), and Merkley (D-Ore.), discussed the importance of upholding the law and highlighted both its significant health and economic benefits.

On the anniversary of President Obama signing of the historic Affordable Care Act, Senator Kerry introduced legislation that would help more small businesses provide health care to their employees by expanding the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit.

Senator Kerry announced that 11 community health centers across Massachusetts will receive over $33.7 million to support renovation and construction projects that will help to create jobs, expand affordable health care, and boost the centers' ability to serve more patients. Senator Kerry's provision to help restore key federal funding to Massachusetts fishermen has been included in a Senate Appropriations bill.

Senator Kerry wrote to the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee urging against budget cuts that would negatively impact Hanscom, Barnes, and Otis Air National Guard Bases in Massachusetts.

Senator Kerry threw his full support behind legislation that would provide the same employee benefits currently provided to married couples and their spouses to same sex couples in domestic partnerships.

Senator Kerry co-sponsored the Safe Chemicals Act, legislation that would help ensure stronger regulations to protect our kids, grandkids, and our families from dangerous toxins that pose potential health threats including cancer, asthma, infertility, and developmental disabilities.

Finally…….oh has he been busy even looking out for Republicans :0)

As Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Kerry introduced legislation that would increase the State Department's abilities to bring those accused of committing mass atrocities, such as Joseph Kony, leader of the Lord's Resistance Army, to justice. The legislation would expand and modernize the existing rewards program run by the Department of State to pursue those who engage in transnational organized crime, including intellectual property rights piracy, trafficking in persons, arms trafficking, and cybercrimes. It would also complement other U.S. law enforcement and Department of Defense efforts
