The Ryan budget, despite its cuts and aggressive fiscal moves, does not balance the budget for at least 23 years, according to the House Budget Committee and the Congressional Budget Office.

"This just shows you how deep of a hole our country is in," Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican and chairman of the Budget Committee, said when asked about the 2035 budget balance date.

The GOP proposal also protects defense spending by undoing a scheduled $55 billion cut in the Pentagon budget, replacing the reduction with cuts elsewhere.

George W. Bush sure did a fine job of destroying the USA.
Fiscal conservatives bemoan the trillion-dollar deficits that began under Bush's watch, while Republican libertarians criticize him for post-911 security policies and the invasion of Iraq.

A CNN/Opinion Research poll this week found 56 per cent of voters say Bush and the GOP were responsible for America's economic problems, compared to 29 per cent who blame Obama and the Democrats.

Wasn't Bush a silver-spoon businessman?

Kinda like Romney?
