One of the judges was a former Miss New Brunswick (Canada) and the other two were involved in the Miss International Scholarship pageant for many years so they must know something about pageants. Some of the rules for this pageant are different than for other pageants, but that doesn't make it better or worse--just different. Personally, I see nothing wrong with wearing gloves with a gown, but this pageant frowns upon glove, and probably one of the teens (who I thought looked and sounded great on stage) lost points last year because she wore gloves. Oh, well. You win some. You lose some. I'm sure overall, this pageant was a good experience for most!
