The pageants that have an award for every single contestant are the ones looking for money, the more optionals you enter, the more money they make.
Christina Couto puts on great pageants...in order to leave with something from her pageant you have to give it your all within your age division rather than just pay an entry fee and know you will leave with an award (that is how many of the "smaller" pageants are, smaller meaning not a State pageant...you enter, you win something...no level of competition that way...) And how is that fun? The thrill of pageants is the competition!
