The best advice I received for Eva was in regard to interviews, especially for the younger ones.
1. Wear a ring. That way, if your hands want to fidgit from nerves, it's less noticable to play with that, and spin it, than to wring your hands.
2. Sit on the edge of the seat, that way your feet can be firmly on the floor and not swing.
3. If asked a question you need to think about, don't say "Um". Instead, take a deep breath to give you that time.
Don't know how well they really work. But Eva used these tips at a pageant last Aug, and she scored pretty well, for only her second interview.
Her dad's advice, every time before she goes on stage is "Just have fun."
