I can honestly say we have have the opportunity to experience almost every weather condition at competitions. From tornados and searing heat to rain and now snow and ice- (We spent 3 days last weekend in NC during the snowstorms for a competition!)Ashleigh has made the transition to Teen at Dance competitions and in her first outing, won her category and placed third highest Teen Soloist Overall.
Look forward to seeing all of our ARM family at a competition soon!

This costume was MADE for ARM State Costume - but we didn't make it. Now, it doesn't fit my daughter. I spent hours & weeks on this dress. It is awesome in person!!

I just want to say thank you to Angie for welcoming me and my girls at the last pageant in Springfield. We had such a good time, and was very happy with the way everything was ran. There was such a worm welcome and Angie was a very nice person to meet. As we look to the upcoming pageant,I know that my girls and I will have just as much fun if not more in April. I hope you all have a wonderful new year's eve. Lets remember to keep the Burtons in our prayers, Felicia lost her dad 2 days before christmas.
Ashleigh Proctor broke her nose, and for those who did not know I broke my wrist and had surgery. I am in physical therapy for several weeks. 2010 is going to be the beginning of a new beginning for all of us at American Royal Miss. Stay safe and we will see you soon.

We are excited about seeing everyone.
Details for christmas party:
Make sure you have made your reservations for hotel
Attire for Party is white dress, crown, sash, bring robe for photos and scepter presentation.
20 party swaps if a sibling is attending have them bring favor to swap as well.
Cost of meal is 18.13 per head, this includes taxes and tip, it also includes desert. Must bring cash.
We are drawing names for gifts, if you do not have a name yet, you will soon.
If you can swing a little something for laylay, that will be great. She is home from hospital.
moms get your dirty santa gift, around 15.00 value
After party we will change into our monogrammed sweats and go up to the mountain.
We will need to meet at 10.00am saturday morning to clear up for the party.

American Royal Miss Preliminary Pageant for Contestants from any state. This is a natural competition
Contestants 6 and up will compete in pageant dress or Sunday best; personality and on-stage introduction for the overall title.

There will be an main title and a beauty title for each age group. Beauty will compete in formal wear, and on-stage introduction for beauty title for all ages.

Contestants 7-19 will compete in all of the above including talent for the overall title.

Contestants 20 and up will compete in all of the above including talent and on-stage question for the overall title.

All winners and top ten will advance to their State American Royal Miss Competitions in the Spring.

Age Groups:
0-18 mths;-Tiny Miss
19-36 mths-Baby Miss
3-4; -Toddler Miss
5-6; -Petite Miss
7-9; -Little Miss
10-12;-Jr. Miss
13-15; -Young Miss
16-19;-Teen Miss
20-28-Perfect Miss
29 and up. -Elegant Miss
Winners in each age group will receive a crown, banner, trophy, gift bag and fees off State Competition.


Cost is $35 for Overall Title
$25 for Beauty Title.
(Must do Overall or Beauty, but can do both)

Enter both for $50.

Optonal Photogenic-$10 for first photo $5 for each additional photo. ( this is an optional catergory and not mandatory)

Cans for Sides:
Side items for each age group-Cost one canned food for each catergory. Cans will be donated to local Food Bank
Most Beautiful, Best Personality, Best Dressed, Best Atitude, Prettiest Hair, Eyes and Smile.
Winners will receive a certificate and a gift.

This is a natural pageant, little or no makeup on children, no flippers on any age group. Makeup allowed on older girls. Photogenic pictures must be natural also.
Catergories: Overall for 6 and under: Contestants compete in pageant dress or Sunday best; on-stage introduction and personality. Personality will be judged on-stage during pageant dress or Sunday Best competition and personality on-stage and off. We are looking for the overall package.
Beauty for All Ages: Contestants will compete in all of the above except personality. Contestants can enter both Overall and Beauty for a chance to win either title.
Overall for 7-19: Contestants compete in formal wear or Sunday Best; on-stage introduction; interview and talent.
Overall for 20-29 and up: Contestants compete in formal wear, on-stage introduction; talent and on-stage question. Questions will be those related to things going on in the world and common goals in life.
Talent can be singing, baton twirling, dancing, dramatic or comedic monologue, poetry reading, gymnastics, instrument playing, check with director for other options. Must not exceed 3:00 min.

Prizes: An Overall winner will be crowned in each age group and will receive a crown, banner, trophy, gift, $50 savings bond and a portion of their fees off at the Missouri/Illinois American Royal Miss State Finals. All Alternates will receive a trophy and gift. Top Ten winners will receive a portion of their fees off at Missouri/Illinois American Royal Miss State Finals.

*Contestants must advance to the state finals to receive savings bond.
A Beauty Winner will be crowned in each age group and will receive a crown, banner, trophy, gift and a portion of their fees off at the Missouri/Illinois American Royal Miss State Finals. All Alternates will receive a trophy and gift. Top Ten winners will receive a portion of their fees off at the Missouri/Illinois American Royal Miss State Finals.

Just wanted to congratulate all our winners and say Thank you to all who helped make the first preliminary pageant in Missouri of the season a huge success. We raised some money for Safehouse and had a good time. My Dear Brothers, Charlie and Chris, thank you so much for all your hard work. Ms Donna and Kathie, I think we had a weekend, none of us will ever forget for a long time and the next time you come here, you are flying and that is an order. Karlee, National Ambassador, you are a doll. Kassie loved playing with you. You have a way of making everyone around you happy.

WOW, What an awesome Nationals we had, so many wonderful contestants, like they say dynamite comes in small packages. This is going to be one remarkable year, after all my time down from the cancer I am finally raady and excited about pushing forward to the best year ever. The family of Laylay asked me to thank those who made laylay feel so special during the pageant.
Sarah Grace for raising the most money through her school. we are so proud of you. Gabby & Monica for your contributions. To Gabi Alonzo for the money you raised we finally found a place we felt it needed to go. If you did not get a chance to contribute to laylay, it is not to late, contact me and I will make sure it gets to her. To all the Queens who brought Laylay a gift at the birthday party, Ashleigh and Allie, laylay just loved you.
The highlight of the Pageant was after it was over and laylay came up to me and said "Hey Donna, I got some money now" it was so precious. She was so proud of her money.
To everyone who made her feel so special "Thank You"
If I forgot to mension or thank you, please excuse me and let us know. I was just thrilled to watch Laylay enjoy herself, you would never know that precious little thing was dealing with cancer, she is a real trooper.

It was a great weekend!
Congratulations to all of the girls. You did a fabulolus job! To the new queens- you have some big shoes to fill but I know you will be fantastic. To our sister queens, congrats on another great year with ARM.
To Karley- You and Ashleigh deserve a big round of applause for being the first and only two queens to have been National Beauty Winners(before the event was combined) and National Official winners and now National Ambassadors! Wow- that is a winning tradition! Good Luck Kira in keeping up with Karley!
Sorry we had to leave so early but the drive was so long for us we had to get going Mon. am. See you soon!

What a fantastic weekend at Nationals..We have so many to thank. To Scarlette & Cale, WOW everyone loved you guys, you put on a great show! Christy Scebra, Sharon Chapman and Raymond Martin thank you for judging and doing such a wonderful job, you had some extremely tough judging to do and you did what you felt was best for American Royal Miss and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Diane Cordell and Dawn Fontaine, thank you for judging Royal Girl and the optionals, you really did good on giving the girls good advice to be prepared for the official interview. Kathie Cardin thanks for the all nighter in getting things finished up, Caroline we can always count on you and we thank you for continuing to support us! Sandy Anderson thanks for all your help. To all the National Royalty and Families Thank You for being such great Queens and Families: Kira, Taylor, Karley, Nicole, Ashleigh, Noel, & Alice we love you girls and look forward to a great year with you.
Cheryl & Kaitlyn we look forward to a great year agian with you as Kaitlyn enjoys being our FIRST National official double crowned winner. We love you! To Blaiklee, Madison, Dakota, Makayla, Gabby, Sarah Grace, Megan, Monica, Kaitlyn & Jennifer we are going to have a blast....To the National Beauties, Alexis & Chloe we have a great year ahead of us.
Scarlette will update the site when she gets back in town this weekend, bless her heart she had to leave out of town at 5:00am will be home for 2 days and leave again. I am glad she is young and can handle it.."I Love You baby" You did an outstanding job as usual.........We have 6 new State directors I will be announcing as soon as we go over contracts and all. Keep your ears open, and look out World for American Royal Miss is back on track.....We thank all of you for making this possible...We had told all the girls who attended Nationals we would crown State Queens to the next in line for the crown that did not title and that was Carli Rouse in the Little Miss group, welcome to American Royal Miss Carli & Sandra!
To the Historic Holiday Inn, they could not have been any nicer and willing to satisfy everyone. If you get a chance let the home office know how great they treated all of us.
The Queens/Directors meeting was a big success Monday morning. Christmas will be in Gaitlyburg, TN December 18-20, 2009 mark your calender! I will send all details from meeting to everyone next week or sooner if possible. You guys get your traveling shoes on. I hope I have not forgotten anyone, if so please forgive me, I still need some recovery time..

These amazing Royal Miss Queens ahve done it again! At National Dance Competition Ashleigh won 1st place Tap Soloist, Raven won 1st place Lyrical Soloist. Ashleigh won 3rd highest Overall solo score for ALL Junior Soloists. Ashleigh and Raven and their friend Alex won Junior Duo/Trio Overall Highest Score and 1st place in small group Jazz. Ashleigh and Alex were also part of a team that won an additional first place for tap small group. The Trio will be featured in all program books distributed nationwide next year along with our Senior team who also took an Overall High Score for small groups.
Royal Miss Queens are SUPER TALENTED!!!!! Congrats Girls!!

Congrats to 2 ARM Queens- Ashleigh Proctor, Nat'l Official Jr. Miss and Raven Brooks Nat'l Beauty Teen! These girls were both injured and danced their way to another Regional Overall Title at Star Systems!
Ashleigh broke her nose at school in PE, tried out for cheerleading that afternoon, stayed for Drama rehearsal for next week's production and then traveled to the dance competition. Raven fell at our last rehearsal before competition and managed to dance through the pain! (She hurt her back and neck) Ashleigh made cheerleading, won Overall Solo and duo/trio titles and her groups placed in Overalls as well. Raven, Ashleigh and their friend Alex were the awesome "Copa Girls!" Raven also was awarded an overall placement with another dancer in their group for their Teen Duo/Trio entry.
You Go Girls!!!
Keep Ashleigh in your thoughts as she has surgery Monday morning to fix her nose!

National ARM Official Junior Miss Ashleigh Proctor was selected as the CSRA Young Woman of Distinction Middle School Scholar. This award is sponsored by the Girl Scout Council of the CSRA.
Ashleigh also won Overall awards and 1st place (both team and individual) at her dance competition Regionals so far this year!

For the 2nd time this week my daughter has amazed me! She received the Highest Honors at 6th grade Honors Day at her new school. She also lettered in soccer at the athletic banquet- a 6th grader on a maily 7th and 8th grade team!

Just got a quick call from Donna...and her surgery went VERY well! Although hurting still, she is so positive and upbeat and can't wait to be able to come home. She said to tell everyone thank you for the calls but most of all the prayers. Please keep them coming...she feels truly blessed and can't wait to touch base with everyone.

We cannot wait until your Nationals this summer. I have enjoyed talking to you over the phone and just feel your sincere sense of care for what you are trying to do in the World of Pageantry. I have looked all over the WORLD for a good, honest and fun system for my children to compete in and until we found you guys...well, let's just say, everything else was just a MESS!!

I have had a few set backs the past year and a half, but thank God that will all be resolved in New Orleans next week when I have my last surgery, then we will be ready to move forward in a "big way". I appreciate the kind words. I will have all the pageants booked and ready to go before I leave for surgery.

I want to thank all of you for your Love and Support during the past weeks, I still cannot believe my sister is gone, I know it has not hit me yet. The cards, emails, calls and flowers meant more to me than you can imagine. Felicia, Brianna and Ms Jeri the lillies are absolutely beautiful, with your mom having surgery and you still took time to think of me. My sister has been battleing cancer the past few months, in and out of the hospital. She is in really bad shape and needs a miracle. Please keep her in your prayers(Julie Parker). She made her husband check her out of the hospital today so she could go home. She is in so much pain, they have had to drain several liters of fluid off of her at least once a week. Thabk you for your prayers.

She was taken back to the hospital in an ambulance today and is in ICU. Please pray and ask all of your friends to pray. Her BP was 50/40 when she got to the hospital, I know God can bring her through this.

She can compete in other pageants if she wants to.
We have several girls who do other little pageants. Most of the girls do other pageants that do not have activities in them.

I just received a picture of the girls on the float from Paula and they look amazing. I sure do miss being with everyone, I have shingles and was not able to travel. We have other parades coming up and I look forward to being at them.
