First of all...thank you guys for being so supportive. It's keeping my mom very optimistic.
I spoke with the radiologist yesterday and the upcoming plans are to start chemo and radiation on monday, going every monday through friday for 5 weeks. She'll be done with that at the beginning of december and will have to let her body heal from the radiation for 5 weeks. Her surgery will be the middle of January...which brings us to the National Beauty competition. Nothing is set in stone because we have to see what's going to happen, but Nationals will be postponed to March, most likely. Just wanted to give you all a quick heads up on that. Keep praying and I'll continue to update you.

>Sorry we did not call yesterday on the way home after Phantom. Madee ended up staying with my parents. They are bringing her home tomorrow. She was very well behaved and only sang a little. LOL She really enjoyed it though. She noticed differences between the movie and the show as well. I will let her tell you about it. Her favorite part was still Masquerade. Donna, I just got a few minutes with you on the phone before your doctor came back in but I am sure that the prognosis is excellent! Ashleigh has even put you on the prayer list at school so now you have an entire elementary school lifting up you and your family.

Keep my mom in your thoughts...we've been in the emergency room all day and now she's in room 1030 at providence hospital( 251-633-1030...if you wanna call)
She's having some heart issues and they're doing alot of tests.
I hope everything will be fine, but just wanted to let you all know what's up...we'll be away from the office for a while.

I have a 2 piece custom dress for sale. It is white and rose pink size 4-6. It has a super stretch bodice with boning and a full rose/pink cupcake skirt. It has been worn 3 times and is in excellent condition. Pics can be sent to you via email and some are on the site from the Gulf Coast prelim (Madeleine Thompson 5-6). Please let me know if you are interested. It has Swarovski stones on it, but it has room to add lots more if you need more glitz. My daughter wears a 6/7 in street clothes, but she is tall. The skirt is getting too short. The bodice has a zipper for closure. Dress comes with dyed panties, bow, and all extra trims I can find. lpthomp@mchsi.com

With the holidays fast approaching, We need your help. I collect new and gently used stuffed animals which are donated to the Sheriffs Dept., Family and Childrens services, and Foster Care. These animals are given to children under duress or emergency situations. To date I have donated 697 stuffed animals to children of our area and we are in need or more. Can you help? I am often asked to describe the experience of raising a child with a disability - to try to help people who have not shared that unique experience to understand it, to imagine how it would feel. It's like this......

When you're going to have a baby, it's like planning a fabulous vacation trip - to Italy. You buy a bunch of guide books and make your wonderful plans. The Coliseum. The Michelangelo David. The gondolas in Venice. You may learn some handy phrases in Italian. It's all very exciting.

After months of eager anticipation, the day finally arrives. You pack your bags and off you go. Several hours later, the plane lands. The stewardess comes in and says, "Welcome to Holland."

"Holland?!?" you say. "What do you mean Holland?? I signed up for Italy! I'm supposed to be in Italy. All my life I've dreamed of going to Italy."

But there's been a change in the flight plan. They've landed in Holland and there you must stay.

The important thing is that they haven't taken you to a horrible, disgusting, filthy place, full of pestilence, famine and disease. It's just a different place.

So you must go out and buy new guide books. And you must learn a whole new language. And you will meet a whole new group of people you would never have met.

It's just a different place. It's slower-paced than Italy, less flashy than Italy. But after you've been there for a while and you catch your breath, you look around.... and you begin to notice that Holland has windmills....and Holland has tulips. Holland even has Rembrandts.

But everyone you know is busy coming and going from Italy... and they're all bragging about what a wonderful time they had there. And for the rest of your life, you will say "Yes, that's where I was supposed to go. That's what I had planned."

And the pain of that will never, ever, ever, ever go away...because the loss of that dream is a very very significant loss. But...if you spend your life mourning the fact that you didn't get to Italy, you may never be free to enjoy the very special, the very lovely things ... about Holland.

I had a great time this weekend seeing all of you. As usual you all looked fantastic and the float was Great! Thanks Chris for the Beautiful Golden tickets and the flags with the the girls names on them. Mike the name looked FANTASTIC on the side of the float, and Paula thanks for all you do. I LOVE the crown you made, great job! I hope we are able to use it at the next event!
Brittany, Megan, Brianna, Salee, Gabi, Raven, Ashleigh & Leah you are the best...The crowd was in awe of each of you.

Any one needing directions can call me 4783976986 I can meet you if you want at the eckerds on Sam Nun Blvd/hwy 341S when you get there you will go to the left fork,(that is 5 points) washington street.there will not be much parking space there but just up the road there is a Kroger. The best view will be along the upper end of washington at carroll. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on saturday!!

Thank you so much for such a wondeful day! You made all of us feel so special. I wore my crown and banner for hours...in fact, it has only been off for about an hour right now. LOL It was wonderful to see all of my friends again. The reigning queens all did a wonderful job. All of the contestants and their moms were so helpful to each other. Everyone shared and helped. Everyone clapped and cheered for all the contetsants as well. There was a nice spirit of friendship. Thank you also to Ms. Ravan and Ms. Stacy for helping my mommy fix my hair. She needs to learn about curls! LOL I can't wait to see everyone again.

What a GREAT group of Queens, we want to extend a Special Thank You to Pam & Caroline for the long drive to make it to the Pageant. Also Melissa, Nicholas & Ms Rose for making a long weekend out of the Pageant and missing so many wonderful events in Birmingham to be with us, tell Madeline we Love knowing where we rank with her. Tara, thanks for missing part of the Band competition to come be with us, we loved seeing you as well and Cheryl..Well thanks for just being there for us. To Deanna, Kaitlyn, Madeline, Ashleigh & Raven for being such great Queens, you shined as usual yesterday.
To the judges for doing such a remarkable job.
It was such a great atmosphere in the auditorium with all the support you all shared for each other.

Becky Lott has another little Mary-Grace, her name is Miley Claire and is she ever a picture of Beauty! Today she is a BIG 4 days old.
Kaitylyn Robinson 2007 National Young Miss and myself had a great time yesterday going to a local pageant, then to visit Becky, Dennis, Gavin, Mary-Grace and Miley Claire. We really enjoyed our visit. I did not want to put that little doll baby down.

We had a wonderful time at the Augusta Green jackets baseball game. Leah, Ashleigh, and Raven had a wonderful time eating, talking, and playing. It was worth the 3 hour drive to see the girls have such a fun time together.

Thanks to all of your prayers my nephew is now in rehab they moved him today and will begin taking out the trach,feeding tubes and such a little at a time. He will be in intense therapy every day for as long as it takes,the doctors are calling him a miracle he is coming around so fast now. Everyday is a new one and he improves by leaps overnight it seems. ISNT GOD WONDERFUL!

Well another Year of pagentry has come and gone. Now we start a new one with a great title, American Royal Miss National Baby Miss. How exciting!!!
Gabi is so excited about her new Crown she wanted to wear it to her first day of school,yes school she started k-3 today and boy is she excited! Nana on the other hand is not so excited it seems that only yesterday we brought her home now she is such a little girl.
What will I do with my mornings now!
Silly me I guess, well anyway we wanted to wish everyone a great year of school and are looking forward sharing to all of the events ARM has planned for the year with friends old and new.

It seems like yesterday I took Scarlette to her first day of K-5 and I cried for days. Little did I know how those years would fly so swiftly. Enjoy every moment with your little ones, as I know you all do, they will be grown before you know it. And, it is not silly for you to feel so sad, just normal.
I hope you all have a great year at school and make a lot of new friends.
We are so blessed to have such wonderful families involved with American Royal Miss.

Please remember Paula and her family in your prayers, her 16 year old nephew was a a terrible automobile accident yesterday and he is in ICU at Grady Hospital in Atlanta.
He was slung through his windshield and his vehicle flipped twice and landed on him both times, his body is crushed all over. He needs a lot of prayer, as well as the family.

To the 2007 National Beauties, what a great time we had. From the Princess Party, Chef Mickies and even Disney World. Olivia, Karley, Madeline, Ashleigh, Raven, McLaurine & Leah all of you did outstanding jobs and we are so proud of you...what talent you all had. Wow some of the talents blew me away. We are so proud of each one of you.
To Gabi, Salee, Mckenna, Megan, Katilyn, Brittany & Brianna you are all great and we are looking forward to some wonderful times with all the Beauty and Official Queens. What great representives we have for States as well.
We are working on some great things for all the girls, Six Flags, A Fall Party, Christmas Parades and Parties, the Governors and much more. Get your traveling shoes out.
If we can do anything for anyone, please feel free to email us.
I want to personally thank each one of you for all the Love and support you have shown during such a difficult time in my life. I will forever be thankful to each one of you who have helped me in dealing with the lost of my Dad. The overwhelming amount of cards meant more than you will ever know.

Kaitlyn's (Freshman-JV) cheerleading squad at McGill-Toolen took 1st in their Pom Routine and Extreme Cheer Routine. They beat out Varsity girls to win these awards in Hattiesburg at Southern Miss this past week. Congrats Kaite!!

Olde towne is a fun place to go it has shopping and carnival rides they usually have a band playing on the sguare too. No charge to go into and it isnt far from the hotel. We are up for anything pretty much.

Words cannot express how much I appreciate all the support the past few weeks, even though I miss my Dad more than I can ever express, it is so comforting in knowing that he will NEVER have to suffer again! He is up in heaven with his dad walking the streets of gold and watching over his children.
To everyone who sent flowers, plants, cards, email and called you love and support meant so much.
Leigh Anne, Paul has no idea how much my Dad loved him,from the bottom of my heart I thank him for taking such good care of my Dad while he was in the hospital, I will forever be grateful to him for that, my dad talked about paul up until he could not talk anymore. Thank You for the beautiful plant.
Kathie Carden, I am not sure what I would have done had I not had you to lean on, thank you from the bottom of my heart and the Plant it is beautiful, I love you david, kim, chip and karley.
Cathy Breese, Thank You for the overflow of support, the plant is beautiful. I am so blessed I had you at such a tough time.

Comparing 2 pageants is extremely difficult! We have competed in numerous systems including OLM and American Royal Miss. I will say that the directors and families at American Royal Miss treat everyone involved with them like family! Once you meet them, you will understand why!!!
We hope that you will give us the opportunity and join us in Orlando, FL for Nationals!

I just wanted to let you all know that my grandfather passed away at 10:00 this evening. Please keep my family in your prayers...aunts, uncles, cousins, and especially my mom and nanny.
I believe the funeral service will be on Tuesday, so that will be difficult, so just pray that everyone feels peace through this time.

Funeral arrangements have been made for Wednesday at Pinecrest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, family time will be 10:30-11:00 am, Chapel Services 11:00-12:00 noon, and graveside service to follow.

We will keep you in our prayers. I know how difficult this is for you. Over time you will remember all of the special times you had. Some will be good and some will be sad. That is all part of the healing process. A girl friend of mine gave me the "grieving rights". I will send it to you and hope it helps other understand.

Please be praying for Donna's dad he is in the hospital in Mobile in very very serious condition. They are not sure at this point what the out come will be. Donna, Scarlette and the family really need our prayers. If you have been trying to contact either one of them today, please be patient they will return your calls, as soon as they can.
Please let them know how much we love them and our prayers are with them. All things are possible in Jesus.
