This is on the Softball Nation's web pages, thought you would like to know, in case you have have not see.

Mike Newcomb Award Established:
During this weekend's Men's D Eastern State Championship, umpire Mike Newcomb was presented with the 1st ever SoftballNation Sportsman of the Year Award. Upon presentation, the award was renamed the Mike Newcomb Award and will be presented each year. The award will recognize a person who has shown the love and dedication to the game of softball like that displayed by Mike Newcomb.
