Georgia Horsley bested 91 other delegates as she won the crown of Miss England 2007 beauty pageant on Saturday and she is officially the representative of England in the upcoming Miss World 2007. Georgia is from the city of York and she became Miss York 2005.

In 2005, she failed to win the crown of Miss
England beauty pageant. So, it was a great comeback for Georgia Horsley. Of course, she is very happy now and she is determined to work hard to impress everyone in the final event of Miss World 2007.

North Yorkshire model Georgia Horsley says she is still coming to terms with the excitement of being crowned Miss England 2007, after an exhilarating three-day contest against 91 other competitors.

Speaking to The Press, she said: "It has just not sunk in yet that I am Miss England. People keep calling me Miss England, and I am not recognising that's me. It's just unreal."

She added: "I think when I do my first job as Miss England, that's when it will sink in. Or maybe if I walk down the street and someone recognises me as Miss England!"

Georgia said her phone had been red-hot since the final, with friends and family ringing to congratulate her, and national magazines such as Hello! seeking interviews and photo-shoots.

She said: "It's just so wonderful. It's going to open so many doors for me."
