Subject: HEADS UP! News Story Hits 5PM Evening News - Breeder Blames Mars "Royal Canin" Food On Puppy Deaths

A respected Georgia dog breeder talks to the local news regarding the recent deaths of 58 puppies. The breeder suspects the dog food the mother dogs ate BECAUSE he had recently changed from IAMS to Royal Canin to save money. (MARS MAKES ROYAL CANIN..they also make that nasty NUTRO!!) He said money was tight and he now regrets that decision. He claims his VET told him the Royal Canin food contained an ingredient that lowered the mother dogs immune system and the food actually contained something in it that kept the puppies from being provided with immune fighting vitamins that puppies normally get from their mother to maintain good bacteria that fights infections. The breeder maintains the mother dogs milk was straight nasty looking liquid when the dogs were eating Royal Canin. After the 58 puppy deaths, he switched his other mother dogs (that had not delivered litters yet) back to his trusted IAMS dog food and those dog delivered healthy puppies! The milk from the mothers that ate IAMS was thick like it should have been all along. This only helped him narrow down exactly what had happened to his puppies. He's out thousands on dollars due to pre-selling the puppies. I know some people are against breeders but the IMPORTANT story here is that these puppies died possibly from Royal Canin dog food. They are having more news at 6PM on the story..you know how they make you tune back in...

I had to share ASAP. If we can save dogs from going through this because you read it quick, that's all we want.

Here's opinion: If you feed Royal Canin and your pet has experienced any problems or is not acting like him or herself, contact the company MARS (good luck because news says they are in denial) and as always, DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY!! Consider feeding the dog clean prepared grilled chicken (not fried..think clean) + chicken broth, white rice and white bread for a few days. Something about bread and broth soaks up the infection, we've been told that. Pedialyte (you can get off brand for $1 at dollar tree) will help them bounce back. We add to water bowl when pets are dehydrated or ill. Switch to a new dog food brand. Do your homework. We aren't vets but this advice saved our animals in the past and we continue to read it has saved others! Always consult your vet if you are unsure of advice. Take them to the vet to get treatment if you can. I hope this has not affected many readers. Protect your babies. We wish you the best. All comments are welcome.
