Los organizadores de Miss Universo decidieron no incluir a Ingrid Rivera entre las semifinalistas por haber sido 2da finalista en Miss Mundo 2005. Igual sucedio con Oleksandra Nikolayenko no clasifico por haber sido semifinalista en Miss Mundo 2001. Zizi Lee Miss Aruba y 1ra finalista en Miss Mundo 2001 tampoco clasifico en Miss Universo 2004.
Los organizadores de Miss Venezuela decidieron no enviar a Martina Thorogood a Miss Universo 2000 porque ya habia sido finalista en Miss Mundo 1999, sino hubiese corrido con la misma suerte de Ingrid, Oleksandra y Zizi.
