If they don't fit, why hold onto them hoping he'd grow into them? My ds went through 4 sizes in a year but that's not always the case. An 8.5 is about a size 10 US street shoe size & I have an almost new pair of Rutherfords in that size. Don't think of it as false advertising. -- Real Men Irish Dance
