Subject: I think that there are two things he has to look at. One, core strength is so important to be able to hold leaps. The most strength comes from the core of the body, not the legs. Secondly, if his hamstrings are very tight, it is harder to straighten the leg. This has always been true for my ds. We are working on these things with various excercises, some of his friends have gone to a sports trainer for help initially. Pilates is supposed to be really helpful, but unfortunately my ds really didnt care for it.
