In reply to: mom of a DS 's message, "How exciting, I just found this board!! I have daughters that dance and now my son (age 4) dances too and loves it. Any suggestions to help him continue to enjoy it with..." on 05:46:06 10/27/09 Tue

I had one of our girls mom's tell me when ds was 10 or 11 that he'll make a good boyfriend one day. I was surprised but here he was sitting in the pool talking to girls and having no awkwardness cuz he'd grown up with them. He's great friends with a lot of them now, has great friends from other schools who he competes against and all cuz he's grown up talking to girls as friends. He does roll his eyes when drama is going on but he takes that in stride too. Good luck & enjoy the time with your dancers, I find that I have a great relationship with my kidlets cuz we spend so much time together travelling to feises. Enjoy & welcome

[> Here is the secret to keeping a boy dancing--help him find other boy dancers to hang around with at the feis. This spells fun for the boy. (When much older they want to be with the girls -lol-but when young, rumbling, tumbling with the other lads). -- it works!, 02:54:28 11/02/09 Mon [1]
