Subject: Thats funny, he's always worn the Black 47's - his have 4 sets of eyelets, maybe his feet aren't big enough yet.. I did noticed in his class that all the boys (no matter the age) wear elastics with their reel shoes.

They have a more "substantial" pad that I'm hoping won't wear out as quickly as the softer jazz shoe style. They also have a strap like the hard shoes do, which might help with the heel (or might not?). The entire shoe is padded on the inside also, they seem like they'll be a good shoe once broken in. We'll see....
