Subject: Our region doesn't combine the boys and girls in open champs even when they are the only one and it's really discouraging and not fun for my boys. When they did combine occassionally a few years back, the girl's parents were always complaining, even right to my face saying the judges favor the boys. (Which I have not found to be true!) My boys aren't very motivated at a competiton with no boys...

but have been really excited the few times they do get to compete with the girls - out of region feis, overseas feis and the NAFC belt competition.

I love the rule they have overseas where if there are 5 or more boys, they compete separately and if there are less, they are combined.
