Subject: My DS wears foundation/bronzer with a bit of shimmer in it. Have seen some wear mascara and blush too, but if we decided to do that (like for AI's) we would do it in private.

I understand the makeup aspect for stage performances, TV, etc. In fact, my son has worn make up when he performed in ballet performances a few years back and also when he was dancing with Riverdance -- all the guys used some sort of bronzer or foundation to cut down on the shine. He just wouldn't do it for a competition, not even World's. He does however do the tanning bit, either by taking advantage of sun if it's around or hitting the tanning parlors a few times.

He was quite pale!
