Subject: How do boys keep their shirts tucked in so nicely while dancing? Sometimes my ds' shirt becomes untucked and I would love to know how to prevent that... it looks worse than girls' droopy socks. Thank you!

[> I've tried adding fabric to make the shirt longer - then at least it has a better chance of staying tucked in. -- Best thing was ds getting old enough to realize how bad it looked!, 19:02:57 10/01/08 Wed [1]

[> When he was younger I pinned it & that stopped when the safety pin opened. I've told him time & time again to tuck into his undies. -- ecr mom to a ds & dd, 20:30:57 10/01/08 Wed [1]

I need to get him a new pair of pants for the Oireachtas & I found a tailor who actually KNOWS what the rubber stuff is & he'll add it to the waistband after he alters the waist.

My hubby's work pants have the rubber (like an elastic) and the shirts stay tucked.

Good quality pants sometimes have this in them already.

Superglue if needed!

[> [> Yes, this is the trip. A good tailor will add a rubber type strip inside the waistband. If your trousers don't come with this perhaps you can have it added by a tailor. It has been a lifesaver. Also, if he wears a waistcoat make sure it is long enough in the back. I see many boys with the back lining too short for their trousers. -- ukmum, 00:43:29 10/02/08 Thu [1]
