Just general question about preference. I'm going to be making some waist coats soon and wondered what sort of fabric to buy.

[> [> I was wondering the same thing actually and was waiting for some photos from GB's to see latest trends being set in UK. My son has had coloured waistcoats and shiny shirts in the past but -- inside, 08:14:51 10/05/08 Sun [1]

at the moment he has plain black waistcoat with printed shirt and contrasting tie. There were a couple at nationals on older boys and they had shaped bottoms (the waistcoat LOL) almost scalloped which looked nice.

[> I actually see more people posting looking for shirts than vests. I can find vests but if i want a cool shirt w/ a black vest - much harder to find. -- just my 2 cents, 08:40:44 10/06/08 Mon [1]

[> [> [> Hey Irishmama108 x, I looked at the pics of the U12s. Your ds looked absolutly fabulous! Great outfit, just the right amount of bling. His vests are always cool. Do you make them? -- Canadian mom, 18:49:53 10/15/08 Wed [1]

[> Last year I went for a conservative look with a simple shirt and tie combination and a black waistcoat to boot. This year I took it a little further and went patterned shirt with matching tie and a patterned black satin waistcoat that went together nicely. Next year I'm going for bling - we're talking diamante-speckled black vest with lime-green knotwork and whatnot. Just to see if I can get up to date with the trends outside of Australia, hah. -- Xuan., 11:01:04 10/10/08 Fri [1]

[> [> [> [> Yes I have indeed become very acclimitized to 30degrees celcius and above... all year round. So going to 'North Antarctica' was like stepping into a freezer. I think we got 9 degrees one day - and I just didn't get out of bed...lol. The wind was more of an issue though as it just cut straight through you... so even if it was 16 degrees, the wind took it back down to like -3. Even blew Gabbi off her feet into an intersection one day.. and she is now 6foot tall! -- Lee in Darwin, 21:17:10 10/13/08 Mon [1]
