Chosen as Miss Universe at Long Beach, California, from a collection of beauties sent from all corners of the globe, Armi Kuusela of Finland (center) poses with the four runners-up (left to right), Miss Hawaii, Elsa Kananionapua Edsman, 1st runner-up; Miss Germany, Renate Hoy, 4th runner-up; Miss Greece, Daisy Mavraki, 2nd runner-up and Miss Hong Kong, Judy Dan, 3rd runner-up.
