This photo was published on 23rd July, the day of the final night. Effie Androulakakis who entered the annual Miss Universe contest as Miss Greece when the real winner Greek representative Rika Dialyna was temporarily denied a U.S. entrance visa, holds the Friendship Award trophy she won last night as the most popular girl among the contestants at Long Beach. The vote was by the candidate themselves. Miss Androulakakis withdraw from the contest two days ago when the State Department permitted Rika Dialyna (the original winner) to come here from Greece for the contest. Miss Androulakakis has won second place in the Greek beauty contest. The Miss Universe organisers decided to give her the trophy even if she is not Miss Greece anymore.
