It's roofs! I used to teach a group of grade 6 students the conventions of English grammar, but we spent far more time talking about the exceptions to the rules! I wonder if other languages are as fraught with exceptions to the norm? -- Cindy's Cottage

- It's funny how the rules of language sort of seep into us over the years. I always knew that we simply have too many exceptions in English, but in teaching these things to Tati I find myself just marveling that any of us manage to speak or write properly at all!
