Oops, guess I melded this chapter and yesterday's chapter together in my post below - I must have been reading so intensely that I didn't notice a chapter change *g* The prison beating, that was written a little too well yea (that's a good thing), I could really feel the terror and brutality..my poor Casey. On my first read, I was just as surprised as Casey was that Angus was about 150 years old and a ghost. I don't know why I don't clue into things like this sooner but I'm kind of glad that I don't because the surprises are much fun indeed. I liked Casey's explanation of the particles and the fourth dimension and was really into it. After reading the Golden Compass series, I get it and find it fascinating.
