Subject: Historically speaking, the British gov't. had such a bad track record when they dealt with the Irish, that there really wasn't any other way for them to feel. During the Famine they were quite happy to let the Irish starve to death, with one parliamentarian even stating that the Famine was God's answer to the 'Irish question'. I look at the situation with the PLO and think 'well, how would we feel if our country was taken over by a foreign power and then all our land was parcelled out to other people?' I don't agree with the tactics used by most of these organizations, but I guess I'm not sure what the alternatives are either.
