Subject: Do you mean the poem Losing Maude, Denise? Because I wrote that myself, so I guess we could attribute it to Jack Stuart- it was just something I had in my head that I wanted to put in the book- well, actually parts of the chapter grew out of the poem, rather than the reverse- and it could have been something running through Jamie's head post-abortion. I hope that's the poem you were asking me about. As to Nurse Browning, alas, dear Kurt did not cross my mind during her naming. :) And yes, Jack Stuart's real identity has come up in previous discussions.
In reply to: Denise 's message, " CINDY I have a few simple questions regarding the last few chapters and was hoping for a wee response. The poem about Maude - is that from Yeats, or written by Jamie, or just something fitting you added to conclude the chapter? I always knew of Jamie's love of poetry, but only recently made the connection to Jack Stuart, so now I'm looking at certain things in a different light. (Was the identity of Jack Stuart revealed in past EU discussions - I don't recall?) Also, and this is silly, but would Nurse Browning have come by her name out of respect for a certain skater we both admire?" on 13:12:53 07/20/09 Mon
