Subject: I originally wrote that I was looking forward to seeing the streets of Belfast but 'looking forward to' didn't sound appropriate especially linked with this chapter and all the heartache and bloodshed. You know what I mean though? Just to be on the streets and feel and think about what Casey et al went through would just bring things to life for me in a different way.
In reply to: celtgirl 's message, "Belfast is pretty quiet these days, other than the Marching days in July- and the occasional murder, etc. It's actually a 'small' city, but the architecture is lovely- lots of Georgian brick. I don't know how much we'll see on the bus tour, the one bus tour I did there whipped through the neighbourhoods that I wanted to see so quick, that we didn't even get photo ops. However, things are a lot quieter than that time so it's possible they will be more flexible. Part of the reason I'm taking the two days upfront in Belfast is that I want to make sure I visit the places that are relevant to the books." on 12:21:52 07/22/09 Wed
