• #4.As much as I've griped about Pamela keeping secrets from Casey- in this caes, I don't think it was wrong. She had a valid and I think unselfish reason- she wanted Casey to return because he wanted to return to her- not just out of obligation to his child and she knew Casey would never turn his back on his own child. And realistically, she wouldn't have been able to keep it a secret forever nor do I think she wanted to- its was just during this tricky time. She needed to know why he returned and I can't blame her for that. Infact, I think it was a favor to Casey too-he also, needed to know why he came back. • #6. I think he strongly suspected about Pamela and Love- he absolutely knew something was up with her and he saw that embodiment of evil haunting her on the beach. I won't say he was a coward for not facing it- Casey wanted to trust her, believed he could trust her to be honest with him. This man is no coward- he's put his heart out there, given it fully to her even with the threat of Jamie and that's no small thing- no coward can do that. As for Robin- I don't think Casey knew how deeply Robin was involved in it all, I really don't. They were kids together- kids live in their own world they don't see into all the dark corners- that comes with age and experience which poor Robin had- Casey hadn't had it- then.     • yep and no matter what else you can say about the man, he did want very much to please Pamela though (gag) I can't let my imagination go there. And she seems to be attracted to older men (like Jamie) and Love was not physically unattractive. • 1. I hadn't expected it to be Robin all along, and then suddenly I saw that it was inevitable. This chapter took about three years of sporadic writing- it was a hard one to write, mostly because Casey undergoes such profound betrayal between the man who was his best friend and the woman who means more to him than anything in the world. Well Brian always knew something was very wrong in the Temple household and he understood there was even more than met the eye- so it's likely he'd dig around, perhaps at some point confront Robin's father. Robin's dad would have hated Brian for being all he never was- and perhaps knowing on some level Brian was worthy of Robin's love and admiration while he never was. • 4. As Susie says above, Pamela knows Casey wouldn't turn his back on a baby and really at this point as much as she wants him to stay she feels this would be more like blackmail. If he needs to go and work things out for himself she knows it's better that he does so, even if it means she's taking the chance he won't ever return. She knows he would always be a part of his child's life, but if he's going to come back to HER then she wants that to be for the right reason and for him to be at peace with that decision. • 6. Yes, I think deep down he knew- he was uneasy about it, he says earlier he's felt it all along, that something isn't right between them and he knows it's not on his side. When he lays claim to her in 'Nine Tenths of the Law' it isn't really Jamie that's bothering him. I don't think it makes him a coward, just a man in love who doesn't want to face the truth- because what will that mean for his marriage. He gives all of himself unstintingly with Pamela- I don't think he would have sensed things were off if he didn't. Plus there's the reason she did it, which is a very bitter pill for him to swallow.
